I think i felt it move last week - like rumblings in my tummy. Is it your first? I think its harder too recognise unless you know what it feels like!?!

This lot were the first to know about mine - i just had to tell someone!! Followed by both sets of parents, me mine and OH his, at the same time so neither could say the other knew first

Yep this is first (probably only to be honest :( ) I'm not 100% sure it was the Bean but it was a sensation I've never felt before

We didn't have the nuchal test and associated bloods. Our MW was great. She talked us through it from 'what if you baby has downs' to 'would you terminate if amnio showed downs' to 'would the nuchal make you worry unnecessarily given a positive amnio would make no difference'. we concluded there was no point adding unnecessary potential stress as we would love our baby no matter what and a termination was just not an option.

I've had some back and hip aches but nothing major. Just can't stand for long periods (gets me out of going to watch BIL play rugby:p ). if it gets worse we've got physio at the hospital on a self referral basis. If work gets any duller I might self refer just to get out of the office for a morning:rolleyes:

    And I haven't forgotten - CONGRATULATIONS MRS TINE!!!:j :j :j welcome to 'The (pudding) Club':p

    TMI alert

Keely - I'm the same. DH is worried about baby feeling or seeing (I keep telling him he's not that good!) and I'm really not interested in him for anything other than a hug and to warm up my cold feet. I can't imagine wanting to for a long time afterwards either

novazombie I'm sure that if you rang your midwife she'd tell you what best action to take. Good luck and congratulations on your recent arrival :D

    mrsTine congratulations sweetie x

the reason i decided to have the test is that i am very much constant worrier and would like to know what i am facing, and that is why i decided to have the test. it's not about the question of termination or loving the baby, it was for me to be able to deal with a possible scenario, which would have put me in a better place and hence been better for bubs (not good me being stressed)

One of my checkups was hilarious, or creepy depending on how you look at it...
The doc said 'ooh that looks nice' on examining me :rotfl:

I noticed after the appt that the window blinds, those vertical ones, were not shut properly. The docs surgery is beside a v busy road
