Hadn't realised there was someone so close to my EDD - I'w 17+0 today:j I think I've felt my Bean move - like little butterfly kisses on the inside
The first to know for me we the DFW lot on the Daily chat thread. I was so shocked I had to post to retain my sanity!
I think i felt it move last week - like rumblings in my tummy. Is it your first? I think its harder too recognise unless you know what it feels like!?!
This lot were the first to know about mine - i just had to tell someone!! Followed by both sets of parents, me mine and OH his, at the same time so neither could say the other knew first:beer:0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Well I have less than a week now till my due date and this baby is still so high up! Bending is a nightmare and I am having to ask the kids to fasten my shoes:o . My midwife has said that he may not engage until labour though so I will just have to put up with it.
I keep hoping that this one isn't back to back tho as my youngest daughter was and I had the numbest bum for about a week after she was delivered as I think she must have pressed her head on all the nerves at the bottom of my spine on the way out!
I am glad everyones scans etc are ok cos it is such a relief seeing that little flicker of life on the screen isn't it?
My eldest started secondary school yesterday as well and I was absolutely more worried than she was, she takes everything in her stride. But at least I can blame the pregnancy hormones:p .
Jenn
P.S.
If my home birth doesn't end up happening i.e if I go too far overdue etc then I will be delivering at Liverpool Womens Hospital. Has anyone delivered there and can they tell me what they thought of it? :A My girls were born in Ormskirk Hosp so this will be my first time there but the Ormskirk midwives can't cover the homebirth as my community midwives do that and they are based at the womens hosp so I had to transfer my care there.I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped when I started doing it to them at funerals0 -

Some of the ladies in my yoga and ante natal classes go to Liverpool Womens (despite it being chuffing ages away from us!) and they speak extremely highly of it, so highly in fact I nearly changed my mind and wanted to move to there! So, not personal experience but hopefully it'll help :-)
btw Orange, I didn't realise there was a right and a wrong way to pee! It would appear my miraculous pee and bp are even more miraculous than I thought! lolComping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

I've just changed my due date to 22nd April as I had a scan this morning and I'm 6+6 instead of 7+1.
It was amazing, I could see the amniotic sac, yolk sac and it's heart beating and I even got to hear it beating. I don't think I've stopped smiling since:D:D:D.

Hi,
Enjoy reading and hope to be joining the thread soon, fingers very very very crossed, but have a stupid question; what do all the +++'s mean?
6+6 not 7+1 etc??0 -

Does anyone know if its safe to take imodum whilst pregnant? My delightful little monster has picked up a sickness bug and runny bum (can't spell the name!) and now he's passed it to me. I'm only 5+3. I think/hope Charlie is getting over the worst of it.
TMI ALERT: I keep being really sick every hour or so and its wearng me out! Make the bad mistake of having soup for lunch, word of warning not eat soup when you feel ill!! Tomato soup stings the back of your throat for ages!!! Its got so bad now that I'm bringing up blood.:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009
:heart2:Toby born Apr and taken by SMA Dec 2012
:heart2: Baby boy failed M/C @ 20 wks Oct 2013 :heart2: Sienna born Oct 20140 -
crazyaboutsaving, I hope your scan date comes through quickly! 15w is a tad too long to not let the cat out the bag!
jennywren, I gave birth to Poppy at Liverpool Womens and will have my son there too. I also live in Sefton and Ormskirk was one of my available choices but chose the Womens due to it being just that, a specific women and baby hospital, and not a general hospital (plus I have no links with Lancashire and was born in Liverpool myself!).
I could not fault it (not even the food! :rotfl:) even though I had heard lots of good and bad beforehand. I was induced at +10, carefully monitored throughout, gave birth within 24hr of stepping foot in the hospital zero cm dilated and had a lovely private room afterwards!.
SIL gave birth 3m later also at +10 but at Ormskirk and her experience was the complete opposite to mine.....
Good luck and I hope you get your home birth!

Am 38 weeks tomorrow, and leaving on maternity leave today. This last month or so has gone quite fast, all very exciting.
keely kat and fritha, I enjoy reading your posts as you are due about the same time as me. I had the 38 week check yesterday. The doctor nearly passed out yesterday when she did my urine test, as the lucocyte reading was so high, but it turns out i did the sample wrong (is it too much information if I say it is meant to be mid-stream?!). 4/5ths engaged now.glad my random posts help (or amuse) someone!
wont be long now!
Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0
