Does anyone know if its safe to take imodum whilst pregnant? My delightful little monster has picked up a sickness bug and runny bum (can't spell the name!) and now he's passed it to me. I'm only 5+3. I think/hope Charlie is getting over the worst of it.

TMI ALERT: I keep being really sick every hour or so and its wearng me out! Make the bad mistake of having soup for lunch, word of warning not eat soup when you feel ill!! Tomato soup stings the back of your throat for ages!!! Its got so bad now that I'm bringing up blood.

I ate granola with fruit in one day, the sick was red because of the berries in it and that also made my throat sore! :o yuk yuk yuk! put me off it for ages..well i havent had it since i dont think.

Im not sure about imodium to be honest, best to ask midwife/gp i guess.

  • congrats Mrs Tine... and well done on all the scans today :) Makes it real doesn't it?!

I went to a physio class this week about my spd, and was almost the only one there who wasn't in the last few weeks - just me and one other lady at 22 weeks, and she was on baby number 3. It's not a good sign for me on baby number 1. I've got crutches and everything now!

    Hi Sarahsaver,

I'm glad i'm not the only OAP on here. I'm 36, will be 37 when this one is ready to come out.

I also had first in 1997 (he went to big school today:eek: ), followed by DD in 2000.

I decided against the extra tests for OAP's too - i think the results are not definate enough, if you know what I mean!! And there are so many other problems no tests can tell you about anyway.
I feel as young as ever though!
Cos of problems with the ex (domestic violence) I can hardly remember my pregnancy with my last child DS2 who is now 7 yrs old.
I think it is why people have the tests that is not often broached as an issue. (i.e what will they do if they have a 'bad' result...)
Also I have DS1 who has some 'special needs' and I am sure that some people would not want a child with all the problems he has, but the way i look at it no -one really knows whats around the corner. WOuldn't swap him for the world. My 3 are all remarkably different and thank goodness for variety!:D

My Mum was thought to be REALLY weird cos she had me aged 33 in 1970, then 3 yrs later she had my little sis!

the immodium is sadly a no i was ill with the same thing on monday and was told not to take it?? was running after a 3 year old and 7 month old so know how your feeling have a hug!!

ladybird you have all the sympathy in the world from me with the spd, i suffered really badly in my last pregnancy to the stage i could not go up and down the stairs or even stand up without being in tears. DS is now 7 months and i am 16 weeks pregnant, have not given myself time to heal and am feeling the pain if i do too much and am worried! i attended a reflexologist through my hospital which was free and she was amazing i would be in pain the night after seeing her but for 2/3 days i would be pain free. may be worth a go?? xx
