Oh I hope you don't think I was criticizing:o . Everyone is different. I wasn't keen on the amnio (te risk of MC put me off completely, aspecially as I wasn't supposed to be able to conceive in th efirst place:o )and an 'it might' result from nuchal would have caused me more worry, not less so we decided against...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

The doc said 'ooh that looks nice' on examining me :rotfl:
I noticed after the appt that the window blinds, those vertical ones, were not shut properly. The docs surgery is beside a v busy road
 :rotfl:
To be honest I'm dreading the pelvic examinations - I was abused and attacked and the thought of someone going near my nethers gives me nightmares:o . I've avoided smears for about 10years because I just couldn't face it.
I've been recommended hypnobirthing classes to help me deal with the stress of it.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

It reminds me of my DD pondering why men chose to be gyneacologists. She thinks it's a wierd job choice :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I've always thought that too. If a gyno has been looking at/prodding lady bits all day, you wouldn't think he'd want to go home and fiddle with another one!
When i had DS my waters broke at home. They told me to put pants and pad on and go to hospital. At hospital the doctor asked me to slip pants off so he could examine me. As I lay on the bed he picked up my pants and sniffed them, saying 'yes, thats definately amniotic fluid'. Far TMI I think!!  :beer:0 -

Some of these messages have really made me laugh. I've only just found out that I am pregnant. How are you working out your due dates? One of my friends who is a midwife recommended http://www.redbabybook.com which is really nice in the way it shows you when the baby might be born but I wondered how all the rest of you are doing it...
I'm very excited but also scared reading all this stuff. Normally it is my husband who spends too long on here but it nice to read there is something on this site for me too.

I went to the NHS site. Its got a thing you put the first day of your last period in and it calculates it for you, this was then confirmed when I went for my first scan at 12+626.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Or you can do it the old fashioned way eg take 3 months of the date of your last period and add 7 days on, so DLP 19th June , take 3 months off =19th march +7 days = 26 march:D
God i need a lie down now, I hate maths:rotfl: :rotfl:
