hi all,
welcome to the new posters.very uneventful here so will be short(heard that before!!!LOL)
hope all goes well for everyone and can only echo the comments of the experienced posters re the advice for the new members.it does get better and it does go quiet(sometimes that un-nerving although im not complaining!!).i think by coming on this thread you have conquered your biggest hurdle and are proudly dealing with your debts, and if the creditors start with the bully boy tactics, try to be strong.as for the doorstep visits, if they are not baliffs, just dont let them in.give them your cccs/ payplan ref or your income/expenditure sheet(if its your dmp),ask them if they can do a better job of the figures than you and tell them you will see them in court cos a ccj wont make any difference to your credit rating cos you dont want any more credit, and the judge will probably agree with you re the payments anyway.or tell them youre looking into bankruptcy so they should take whats offered and stop harrassing you.
anyway,am stopping before the essay mode kicks in!!
take care. regards, xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

We are all great helps to each other, thats what makes this site so good.
Dealing with credit companies when you can't afford to pay is like dealing with bullies you have to get the balance of power back and stand up to them.
Fingers crossed that works for however many years I owe the bloomin things!
But glad to help anyone, you all help me!0 -
Like rayday said - everyone here helped me so much - otherwise I would never have contacted CCCS. Seems only right to point others in the same direction and answer the kind of questions I was asking 3 months ago.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Hi all
Not been on for a while as work been so busy.
Got a payrise at work so this put my monthly DMP amount to £400 which was chuffed about. I had been re-jigging my budget a lot as this was what I was aiming for.
All quiet at the moment as CCCS are now contacting my 3 creditors...fingers crossed.
All quiet on the letters and phone call front for the past week.Had kept Barclays, Argos Loan and Sky Card in loop of what I was doing and made token payments for the last couple of months so think this kept them quiet.
Going for a week's holiday in France on Saturday. Feel guilty about this as the money could be used for debt clearing, but it was booked a while ago using a bonus I got at work.
Hope everyone ok, and welcome and good luck to the newbies0 -
Pompey.
Woo. Good news on the pay rise :T :T .
Enjoy yourself in France. Do not feel guilty as having a DMP does not mean that you have to stop living and enjoying yourself. You do not have to walk the streets with a £ tattoed on your head and saying 'SHAME , SHAME, for I have sinned':rotfl: . Enjoy it and at least the holiday was paid for and not borrowed from another source.

I think holidays are ok and I am not biased she says packing to go away on Saturday!
This holiday has been saved up for, ebayed for and threatened so many times.
Enjoy it but if you pinch a bit of my sunshine in France I will beat you with a virtual stick of skegness rock0 -
