  • Hi All
Hope everyone has had a quiet day with the phone calls and mr postie.
Just an update went to the Cab this morning, saw a lady who didn't seem to know what she was on about. I found her very patronising and telling me that the reason the 2 companys won't accept is because they probably think I have to many commitments on my budget and that I could reduce my housekeeping this was all before she even had a look at the budget sheet.
She assumed that my budget was for myself when Matt was in the room with me. When she did managed to look at the budget she couldn't appolgise enough.
She has made me an appt for tomorrow morning with a debt advisor, the problem I have is in 2 months my child benefit stops I hope you don't judge me but I didn't include this in the budget that I originally done. :o I am a bit worried that I will have to tell him this and how the advisor will react but that money will stop. If he is not happy I will stay as I am and ask Mercers to take me to court, I won't have any other option.
Ray thanks for your kind words.
Purple Teddybear I am going through the same thing with the diy dmp. I have had 5 creditors accept 2 are being a pain cccs or payplan couldn't help because I didn't have enough surplus.
I hope I haven't offended anyone and many thanks for being there for me.
    Love to you all

Well if your child benefit stops in two months what is the point in mentioning it? By the time this goes through I suspect you won't have the money so I am sure they will understand your logic as to why - it is essential your budget is realistic if you included your child benefit then that is not realisitic because your income is due to drop.
  • That's what I thought Ray the trouble is because I am not well I am looking in to it to much and worrying and I must be driving Matt around the bend, bless him he is sitting his A2 at the moment, and he could do without me nagging him.
Thanks You have reassured me :A I will be glad when tomorrow's over.
    Take care

I think you have nailed it on the head you are over thinking and worrying which is understandable.

Thing is no matter how much you worry the only thing you do is make yourself miserable and it does not stop things happening.

The CAB are on your side he is not going to criticise he is going to see it the same way as you - some companies can accept payments for a year and if you had included that income then you would have struggled.

So I order you cup of tea and no more worrying - you are dealing with things which is the best you can do. It is not irresponsible not to worry all the time - it is sensible!

Go bake a cake or something - naff but works for me :D

No you lot shouldn't be allowed holidays on your DMP. I think you should all cancel them right now and stay indoors ... just because I'm envious and can't book any holiday just now ;):D

(Just spent my last tenner on food for the kids and usfor the weekend - and teabags  - so nothing at all left till next week unless I raid the 5p jar :)).
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • Ray you are so right worrying doesn't get you anywhere. That's a good idea about the cake I will go out and buy some fruit and have a bash at the cake.
Just off to put the kettle on just what I could do with a nice cuppa maybe if I talk nice I will have one made for me!!

    Hello
I received my DMP welcome pack from CCCS yesterday and am making first payment next week when I get paid :) Just one question though - I am obviously aware thet dmp affects credit rating and I read in CCCS stuff that defaults etc stay on your file 6 years from the date debts paid off. I thought that this was 6 years from when default issued? Just a bit confused wondered if anyone knew for certain (been a long day lol).

    Hope you are all OK
    xx
