CATH Hello and welcome, one of my creditors is Halifax, I have a LOAN, CC and OD with them. We had lots of phone calls from them sometimes up to 8 a day. they also ignored all letters, but now after 2 1/2 months CC have excepted for 12 months. not heard anything from LOAN and OD.

Evening all
Seems like an age since I lasted posted (I have been keeping an eye on you all though), so many new members welcome to you all - I'm not surprised our house has been "extended" I'm sure our huge thread was in danger of receiving an "asbo" heaven forbid .... lol!!
Well on the IDA front things are static - no news on the bank charges front, I'm giving the HSBC the 8 weeks (seems they make an offer then?) which is up a week from today and then will start the court ball rolling - hope I don't have to, particularly after what happened in court with TSB yesterday - although I hear MSE Martin was ace on GMTV today!!! I answered a call to HSBC on Monday (phoning every hour again!) and the lady was lovelyI explained about the DMP she checked on the "system" and admitted it was set up and accepted :j but couldn't understand I was still being chased with phonecalls - suggested I phoned CCCS because they hadn't heard back from them and as a result charges and the threat of foreclosure would be inevitable
! When I spoke to CCCS they said there was no need for them (CCCS) to respond to HSBC acceptance because payments were being made - its all very confusing - she suggested they were just "trying it on" and to "ignore them" but I think I might draft a letter confirming my DMP and send it them anyway, don't suppose it will hurt?? That must be the longest most confusing sentence of our new home - hope anyone attempting to read it makes sense of it
!!
Love and hugs to everyone
IDA

IDA - Good Luck with the exams, you go girl!!
CATH - Welcome to our little cyber family you are very welcome here.:T Well done for facing your debts, just let us know if there is anything we can help with.
Hello to everyone else:hello:
All quiet in teecee world today.:D
Went to my brothers last night and he gave me a present for DD (She has just passed her grading for her Blue Belt in Tae-Kwon-Do),new game for her Game Boy Advanced. As I was leaving he handed me an envelope and said "and this is for you". It contained £500!!!
He has absolutely banned me from using it for debts and said I have to use it for me and DD to make things a bit easier for a while. He is such a treasure and so lovely it's unbelievable!:A
So feeling pretty good today, am gonna put the money away for emergencies and feel so much better that I have something to fall back on now. It's a real weight lifted.
Hope you have all had a good day and not too much stress

That's wonderful teecee. What a lovely brother you have. My wife's father who is on a pension gave us 1000 pounds at Easter for our holiday. I have no idea where he gets it from either.
bowz25, a letter is the best idea. Payplan sent me a standard letter to copy which I then sent off after filling in the Payplan reference and the amount I was sending which was mostly a token 1.00. CCC should do the same I would have thought. If not it just says that we are having difficulty with paying, here is a token payment, here is the CCC ref. and they will be contacting you soon. That is about it I think. Hope that helps.
Sea78, the pasta and broccoli was delicious and you can go to the top of the class. May try using other veg with it another time. You'll laugh as I made twice as much so half is in the freezer later to be used another day. Thanks very much and my sons enjoyed it too. XX
Sweety, I didn't realise that the banks and not Payplan will let us know so thank you.
YM, We use Halifax websaver accounts and they are great. You have a great sense of humour by the way. Keep posting!
Have a good evening all. Incidentally I have just had a very nice lady on from Barclaycard who was very sympathetic and managed to get 10.00 out of me. Curses, I've failed again.0 -
your right y.m is nice over here i bought some pringles for the house warming
hi to all newbies had a quiet day today and as at work a nsd so even better:j:grouphug: Member #5 of the DMP Mutual Support Club :grouphug:0 -
Hi everyone,
I've been busy this week sending letters to my creditors and token payments to all those who were still due a payment for May. Called CCCS yesterday and they have 'activated' my DMP (I imagine it sitting on someones desk now with flashing lights and a siren blaring!). My welcome pack is on its way and my plan definately starts in June.
I was feeling quite relieved and pleased with myself for getting organised. I even had a night off last night from worrying. I had a long soak and a bit of a pamper session instead, once the kids were all in bed.
The lull before the storm though, I think, because I've just logged on and got an email from EGG's borrowing management team to say that there's an important message waiting for me when I log on to their site. I didn't expect a response from anyone so quickly! An email's better than a phone call, but I still think that I'll leave logging on until tomorrow - I can't be doing with getting stressed out at this time of night because I won't be able to sleep!!PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBT :j

Hi everyone
Like the decor. This is the only new home I'm gonna have for a while. Can only bring a couple of Choc muffins to the party but they are large so could be split.
Teecee make sure that emergency is a day out to a safari park or adventure place or a pampering session or similar so that you can spoil yourself and your dd. What a fantastic brother you have.
IDA good luck with the studying and exams.
Fairly good day here. Got my car insurance renewal reduced by £42 by my current insurer. The one I had been looking at which could have given me cashback didn't insure me to drive other cars which I don't do very often but there is the odd occasion and they wanted £82 deposit followed by 10 monthly payments so I felt that even though I wouldn't be getting any cashback through quidco it was better to stick where I was - after haggling of course. However I did go through quidco for my house insurance and should be receiving £60 from them and reduced insurance by £120 - go me:j
Have my interview tomorrow at the job centre to see if I'll get job seekers allowance, hopefully will go well.
On the unhappy side of things while on the quidco site I decided to sign up for the 30 day free trial with experian credit report and checked out my creditors. Of the 13 creditors we have it showed 9 and of that 9 only one balance matched what we have down. All the others said we owed more than we thought. One was a massive £1800 out:eek: Others were all out between £1-200 which could be extra charges from the beginning of the dmp. 7 of them have defaulted us. Two of the cc's just have us down as being 6 payments or more late :rotfl:The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.
