I owe more than you Pompey - but my payments are higher and if they all stop charges it should be paid off within 6 years - not sure if the payment length makes any difference either?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Thanks Newlywed. Blimey....sounds confusing.
Guess I shall just wait and see.
Have a payrise coming soon which should enable me to whack another 50 quid on my monthly payment.0 -

Yeah just seems to be a case of wait and see. Apparently if it does go to Debt collection, they are often easier to negotiate with as they have likely "bought" the debt for less than the actual amount so will accept less than a bank would.
Also if it goes to a DCA then interest is usually stopped completely. I'm hoping that's why I've got the default - so it can go to DCA, interest stopped etc. :think:working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Big hugs Scared - I have no idea if it's scare tactics or not - perhaps ring CCCS again and just explain what they have now said and how true this might be?
Welcome Bessy

Hi Hope everyone is well.
Dreamer I am the same as you I feel ashamed and I am paranoid about everything, I keep telling myself I haven't done anything wrong the creditors will eventually get paid it will take forever though. Course you haven't offended me hun regarding my friend I almost asked him today if he had told anyone about my debts but decided against it, he will deny it anyway. I know it sounds silly now but I wished I had kept my mouth shut and not told him, but its done now. He kept asking me today what was happening with my debts I told him nothing yet. We'll get through this I am sure.
Sea Hope everything is ok for you.
Ilgd I wish I could of gone down the cccs route and made just the one payment, never mind.
I pay my debts all around the 19th of month even though some of them are due at the end of the month, I know what you mean that's all I do is talk about my debt to my son, it must really get on his nerves but bless him he is so good.
Your so right family are the most important thing I don't know what I would do without my family!!
Welcome Bessy  everyone is so friendly here.
Luv to you all

pompeymark.....creditors are a very strange breed and no 2 cases are ever the same.for eg, we may owe the same and been paying the same and for same time, etc and you may get a diff dca to me or they keep my debt and sell yours, or we get same dca and you get offered a f+f and i dont ,or my f+f is lower than yours.see what i mean??never the same thing each time.some accept the dmp and some dont.some are great and some are ****.have had no probs with lloyds where others on here have had a nightmare, so who knows.
strangly enough, i think it helps our cases cos loads more peeps are in debt than years ago and the companies seem more likely nowadays to accept dmps that they know will last years , cos thet are realising that loads of peeps have decided to choose b/r so they dont get their money.at least on the dmps, own or cccs/payplan, they know that they will get a better return on their dosh than b/r.although i think cccs and payplan hold alot of clout cos they wont let their clients get bullied.
scared....there are no such things as strangers...only old friends, so WELCOME BACK. xxhope baby is well and you are not too stressed!!!try not to dwell on the house charge.i, too, think its scare tactics.if you plan on staying where you are for a while and you do get a charge, they cant make you sell.they just register an interest so they get some dosh from the house sale when you move.so if you stay for years,no probs, and if you sell later and make more profit(cos prices will only go up)you would pay them anyway, iykwim.
these days i think companies are less inclined to send collectors to your home and either sell your debt to a dca or go to court so you get a ccj, which affects your credit rating, but after all you go throu with a drawn out dmp, who wants more credit???
short post again!!!!!!!hope my op helps anyway.

oooh Arghhhhhh
HSBC calling again so I answered this time. I still don't have enoughfor their 'managed loan' and said I was going to refuse it anyway. AGAIN.
He said one of the options was for them to freeze interest - well why can't they do this now!! They've given me a number to ring once I know what their share of my higher amount of DMP payment will be. Grrr. Can imagine what joy that phone call will be.
