Good morning all.
Well things have calmed down a bit at monkey mansion. SIL is getting help with her problem and her OH is ok and is going away to sort himself out.Hope he does for all of them.
Can I take a moment to thank everyone for their words of support. You have been excellent and should all be proud of yourself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.:T :T
Thank you for the PM amani. Meant a lot :T
Well back to the old DMP and it is nice to report nothing at all has changed. Second payment has come out and all quite at the moment.
I bid you a good day and will catch up later
To you all :T :T :T :T :T

hi YM,
Glad to hear things have calmed down.0 -
Yeah me too YM. You sound more relaxed.
Morning amani you hugga momma. Hope you have a nice day and are ok today.0 -
Morning, hope everything is well with you all.
Rang First Direct to query the interest rate. Apparently letter was wrong and the interest rate only changes when it changes department. Nice lady checked that my first payment had been received and changed the interest rate from now on. It is 6.7% APR (I know it's not 0% but it's loads better than the 18% I was paying!!)
She said if there is any problem on receiving payments they usually ring CCCS direct to query it.
So a nice phone call and I'm glad I rang as it meant she's changed the interest rate from today.
That's the first thing that's gone right so far. OH is grumpy, we were meant to go out last night but booked the taxi and it didn't turn up so we had to cancel as we'd have been too late and we were fed up by then anyway.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Quiet over on here this morning.
Just given in and ordered weekly bus tickets online. It will save us money on bus fare (saves about £4 a week each even without using it at weekends). OH thinks it's a waste as we might get a car. But that's what I've been saying for the last 6 weeks and still no car and doesn't look likely either.
I'm so fed up.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Dont feel fed up newlywed you are doing brilliant. There is a BIG change from your first post on here until now. I know the car thing is a big pain but hopefully you will find something soon. Are you still doing your shopping online?

Are you still doing your shopping online?
Not likely!!! Our local Sainsbury is hopeless. Deliveries up to 2 hours late (so you wait 3 hours for your shopping). Last one he only delivered half got a signature and ran off without letting me check. There should have been another £25 worth of meat! Customer services and the local store couldn't get hold of him for another 2 hours and then I had to wait for him to come back - would have been quicker to walk to the shops and walk back (half hour each way)!!
I kicked up a stink though and have £20 off voucher as well as a £10 voucher from them being late. So will probably give in and try again just for the money offCould fill my cupboards nicely with a £60 shop that only costs me £30
Nothing seems to go right. Buses don't turn up, shopping doesn't turn up, taxi's don't turn up or drive past you and put down that it was a no job. Friends with cars say it's a shame but offers of help are few and far between
Looking for a car is difficult - we have the kids Tue, Wed, Thur and fri eve as well as all weekend. Work full-time so the only option we get is take time off work, drag 2 kids along or go Monday evening.
Ever felt you were swimming against the tide?
Just when you think you are getting one thing sorted, something else comes along and smacks you round the face.
Sorry, feeling negative today even with my call to First Direct.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Morning everyone
YM big (((hugs to you))) Also (((hugs))) to everyone else who may need them. I've only sort of quickly read back so apologies for everything I've miseed. :grouphug:
Onamission well done on the dissertation and getting your charges back.
Kelly that's scary money to be paying on a mortgage.
IDA you never know. I've always had instances where papers I thought I did badly on I actually did well and vice versa.
I'm absolutely shaking. I have just rang Hellifax and asked them to send me the last 6 years charges on 3 accounts. I have wanted to do that for so long. What moved me in the end was finding out this morning that they had bounced a cheque on me. I had paid for petrol and because a bank charge had come out there wasn't enough to clear the cheque. I now have the pleasure of going to the garage to explain and to pay the money. £60ish. I haven't even got £60 spare but I'll sort it somehow. Anyway he said it would take 40 days for the charges information. It seems they just send a list now rather than the statements. I reckon there must be at least £3K in fees. If I can be strong and fight this I will be OD free and will be on a much more even keel and better to deal with things. I need you claim experts to kick me up the backside now and then so that I proceed with this. I'm not a nervous person really but this is scaring the hell out of me.
If I can conquer Hellifax I'll then work through the creditors on my DMP and get the charges from them too.0
