Hi peeps, I note from another thread that the CCCS online DMP account has a full and final calculator. Does Payplan have one? Lenny

    Hi all

    Hope everyones ok.

Got a couple of quick questions...

Are there any rules about whether the lower payment offers are accepted or are some creditors better than others? Mine are Argos Loans and Barclays.

I am setting my DMP up through CCCS. Have kept the creditors in the loop on what I am doing, and made goodwill payments. Will have to make further goodwill payments this month. Cleared most of my Barclays arrears with refunded bank charges

Due to CCCS wanting me to have a new bank account in place before they will speak to my creditors, my plan is not ready for June, but should be ok to start in July.Fingers firmly crossed

I read that CCCS take the DMP payment on the first of each month. My payday annoyingly is the 6th. Can the DMP payment be taken on a different date than the 1st?

    Thanks for any info!!

    Good morning

Where is everyone? All very quiet in our little club at the moment. Hope you are all okay.

Pompey Don't think it really matters about the lower payments as are paying back smaller debts. My lower payments (£5 each) to Studio and Great Universal are for debts of approx £120 each. These 2 creditors will be paid back within 2 years whereas the rest in about 10 years  Don't know why CCCS offered £5 as presumably on pro rata share it should have been less. I think the 1st of the month is the only date CCCS take payment.

Not much happening today. Just got to go to post office to post some Ebay parcels.

    Take care

    Morning.

CCCS gave one of my debts £5 too - must be their minimum amount as it should have been about £2 pro rata.

CCCS told me that payment has to reach them between the 1st and 10th of the month (my first payment they received on the 9th and it all went through ok). So check with them but I suspect it will be ok to go to them on the 6th.

Dreamer - the OS book is Thrify Ways for Modern Days by Martin Lewis. It's really a collection of the tips collected from everyone on the Old Style board here, which is why I call it the Old Style book. ;)

    Morning all

Newleywed have you looked at https://www.desperateseller.co.uk or is it .com for a car?

Well my quidco money went in overnight. :j Although my washing machine has packed up so it may go on that.

Quite a few of my creditors get £5 a month. TBH I don't even think of them as creditors or anything any more, I just see it as a payment I make to CCCS and the rest are history. Probably not a very wise way to think of things but it helps.

Hope everyone is ok, I've nothing interesting to say.

Newlywed Thanks for informing me re: OS book. Think I will have to see if I can borrow it from local library :)

Pompey I think CCCS will only collect DD payments on 1st of each month but as they received Newlywed's on 9th and it went through okay you could pay via the post office every month when you get paid on the 6th. Sorry if I misunderstood your question :)

Sorry, it wasn't direct debit. it was my first payment so I paid at a post office. ;)

Ex- I am always interested in your news hon! And if you do have to spend it on a washing machine - that's still not debting :)

dreamer - remember you can order it from the library if they don't have t (sometimes they charge 60p for this, but better than buying it :) )

No news here - DMP still going. I think HSBC rang me yesterday but I was teaching so couldn't answer the call. Grad loan SO bounced again and charged AGAIN.

No post for me today hope everyone has a quiet day with Mr postie.
Dreamer I went to the cab yesterday waited ages anyway explained everything to the lady and she said they won't be able to help unless I could agree to cab taking over all of my creditors over, which I said the 5 of them had agreed anyway and they have already accepted my reduced payments.
I said I don't want to upset the apple cart with the agreed creditors
She looked at my budget statement and said everything is fine regarding my figures and it was good that the 5 had agreed.
Best thing is she said go home and have a think about it and come back in 2 months by that time I would think that barclays and littlewoods will issue me with a ccj anyway.
So I have decided to let them issue me with the ccj because I can't pay anymore than I am already paying and the courts will make them accept this hopefully.
I think my health has to come first so in all maybe going to cab has helped me by making my decision for me.
I just wish I had enough left for cccs to have helped me.
Sorry about the essay hope everyone has a good day
    Love to you all

Valley's girl - completely agree that your health has to come first - If you keep to your plan and the cab have agreed it's realistic then really, no court will side against it. Just ensure you keep copies of all letters sent and received (so better to write to those two and keep records) then you can show you've done all you can. Hugs to you.
