    hi eripmav :hello:

welcoem to the thread- it does sound like bullying to me too - they need a court order to actually enter your property I think.

Ring Payplan and explain that you've started off your DMP, you're separate from you partner and you wish them to start the ball rolling as it's getting stressful for you. If they are unable to do this, perhaps give CCCS a call? Not saying Payplan are not good, it's jsut sometimes they have a slightly different view to CCCS and vice versa!

    Thanks Sea78 and teecee.

To be totally honest, I did think that they were trying to bully me into paying more. My only source of income for the last 5 years has basically been my Family Tax credit and for the last 3 years, I've been selling on Ebay to make ends meet. I finally couldn't do it anymore a few months back and decided to do something about it. Total earnings a month are just shy of £110 and Barclay Card and Marbles expect £150 each.

I was told that I should hear from Paypal by Wednesday by their advisor on Friday but it doesn't stop the worry!:)

I was tempted to go bankrupt but I can't even afford to do that!:)

eripmav - what's your total debt? Did Payplan recommend bankruptcy? The fact that you have such little income should mean that really, you have no money to pay them back!

My total debt minus interest is at around the sum of £12k.

They did recommend bankruptcy but as I said, I can't afford to do it:(

    Greetings all.

Welcome eripmav. Dont know about mercers i am afraid. I read somewhere that the DCA's can be a bit of a pain. Not an expert on this but your could ask mercers if they are collecting for Barclaycard or they have brought the debt. I think they need a copy of your CCA which is your original credit agreement that you signed when you started with Barclaycard. Without this they cannot hassle you for the money. They may have this but as a delaying tatic you could ask them to provide a copy of the CCA. They need to have this to make the debt enforcable. Once you make this request the debt is in dispute and (i think) they cannot ask for money. They have 12 days to reply + 30 days i believe. Make sure if they send anything it is the CCA and not the application form. I have read this somewhere and am not sure if it is 100% correct but it is something i will be using if my DCA(do not know who yet) gets all tough and heavy. I also think you have to send £1 when you ask for the DCA. Hope that helps but have a look on the forum because there is more detail about this and even template letters. Power to the people:T

Had a great day in the forest yesterday and had a lovely roast. My puddings even turned out ok.

Not up to a lot today. Chilling and have work again tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good one.

    Morning All :)
No post today hope everyone has a good day with the post, I am going to go down to cab this morning I can't go early because Matt has the car and I am unable to go on my own due to my illness. So if there are a lot of people in front of me I will go down tomorrow, Matt will take me then!!

Eripmav I am having the same problems with Mercers they are a right pain just to let you know they are barclays dca so they wouldn't of bought the debt I think this is why they are being so difficult. Try not to worry they told me that they can only accept 1% which I can't afford, so I am going to cab which they advised me to do. I still don't think they will accept though. I am doing my own dmp.
Ym Glad you had a good day yesterday.
The weather is great here today.
    Have a good day all.

Morning. Quiet weekend with no phone calls or letters ;)

Even the junk mail offering loans and credit cards seems to have quietened down!! ;)

Decided against traveling all that way to maybe look at a cheap car as if we didn't get it, we wouldn't have enough money left for bus fare for the rest of the month, plus we'd have to find road tax by the end of this month too.

So still looking for a car, but only half heartedly now as I'm a bit sick of chasing after chocolate teapots!! ;)

Hope everyone is well and the sun is shining where you are :)

Now that you are only half heartedly looking for a car whats the betting you will find something ideal (Hope you do). When i am not looking to buy i see loads that could fit the bill just from driving around. Soon as i need a car i will drive around and not see a thing.

    Hope all is well
