  • Evening guys,

    I just had to post to let everyone know that I am a numpty! I got home this evening to two pieces of post. I thought, here we go the letters have started but oh no - stupid idiot that I am forgot to sign and date the cheques that I sent to my creditors as token payments.....think I must have been stressed whilst doing it??? Thankfully I know I didn't do that on all of them as many have already been cashed...how silly am I!

    Anyway, hope you are all having nice evenings. Sad as it sounds I am in bed on lap top as have to get up at 5am :-(

    Good evening everyone :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    I'm in my study ((well poshed up word for computer room LOL )) sorting through all our creditor paper work or rubbish etc etc and have notice my partner hasn't got a copy of a signed credit agreement with First Plus. There is no credit agreement what so ever :eek: bar a booklet and that is about it.
    I honestly do not re call seeing any thing when he took out the loan last year. :confused: Also we are not the kind of people to throw stuff away like that because we are hoarders if you say.
    First plus have passed he's debt onto Red Castle then Eversheds (solicitors) who are pursuing whatever :rolleyes:.... anyway with out my partner possessing a copy of a signed credit agreement with them etc where does he stand.

    Advise pleaseeeeeeee :o:EasterBun

    Sorry if I'm being dim but this is out of curiosity.

  • The most horrid thing you might have to do is contact them and ask for a copy, they must have one on their files..... now if they dont.... that might be a whole different story cos I presume then they cant shove you for breaching something you havent signed.... The agreement is a written contract. Read the leaflet through though it might say that by signing the application form right in the beginning makes you agree to their terms and conditions, then they got you

    Yes there are template letters on National Debt Helpline website think you have to send them a cheque for a £1 too for the costs. I have a feeling there will be a signed credit agreement though because FIrst Plus send them out and you send them back and its if they have one not you, but you never know worth a go could have been an off day for them! I would love them to be wrong lol
