  • Hi guys,

There must be something in the air. I too am tired after lack of sleep, went to be in good faith of an early night at 9pm but was still awake at gone 1am with the prospect of a 5am rise for my lovely 2 hours commute to work via trains, tube and bus....horrid :-(

I will be leaving at 4pm and getting into bed as soon as I get home at this rate!!

I can order you to bed if that helps, trouble is if it was me and someone told me I had to do something I would do the opposite :D
  • I'm technically asleep also... having the office heating on at 26 degrees and a hot bowl of soup in my tum... sun shining through the window and dmp paperwork on it's way.... life is good lol

Right I have been really really stupid.:o

I had the facility to have an OD on my current account. This I have taken up and now have an O/D facility for £5000 :eek::eek: . That is not all I am afraid. Out of curiousity i applied for a Capitol one card and have been accepted. Sent off confirmation today :eek:. Dont really know what I was thinking really.

I suppose it was nice to be offered the facility for a change instead of getting knocked back all the time.I have no intention of using either indeed i have had an O/D facility since i opened my account and have not gone into it once. The CC i do not plan to use as the interest is 34.9%

What I am wondering is this going to affect my Dmp if I do not use them. I did read you were not allowed to apply for more credit which i have done stupidly. I suppose i want to test myself in a way to have these available and not to use them. Bit like giving up smoking and having fags available.

Thought a long time about confessing this as i did not want to seem a failure. Sorry

I do repeat though I will NOT use either one of these demons. Just worried in case Payplan find out and scuppers my DMP.

    YM

Ps. That was my darkest secret and i now stand before you all naked and bare to the soul.

    ooo a bare naked monkey....

I don't think it will effect your DMP, companies have to ask to check your credit history and can't see why they would routinely check. I have an overdraft facility on one of my banks and no one has ever said anything. See you beat a confession out of me too now!

I think it gives your confidence a bit of a boost to know the money market still wants you, I kinda feel a bit like a leper at times but on the other hand I like that feeling because I really want to learn to live without credit. Us humans (and monkeys) are double edged swords complicated creatures!

You do not realise how good your reply makes me feel.

Now on to serious matters How dare you have an O/D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It gets worse on occassions it has been used :(!

I really feel sometimes I don't deserve to be on this site everyone seems so driven to get rid of all debt and I am but I kinda like a bit of life back again, we don't go out, smoke, drink but I do like the girls to have things.

    Too right.

I would sell my soul to the Devil for my kids.

Mind you since DMP time everything they have needed has been paid and saved for without credit. It can be done. I suppose we feel vunerable because of the restrictions but it is possible and some things the kids need cannot be brought.
Look to the future when everybody is paid off. There is no way I will get into debt and the spare money I have will be mine :j. Good times ahead.

    Definately you are spot on!

The girls are learning to be better with money, silly little things they have learnt like they love ty girlz dolls they are £10 in shops here, they saw they were releasing some new ones but it turned out they were in America, we got them the whole set (4 of them between two girls) for £18 inc delivery brand new. They loved that lesson!

In my credit days near the end I would have had to say no to a doll between them. They don't tend to get gifts inbetween special occassions we do sing star nights or games nights which they love, sometimes me may go round Game when they have offers on pre-owned games. But its nice if they have been really good or worked hard to have some flexability to reward them and like you said know its money in my bank that paid for it and not never never land!

It's always nice to know you don't always get knocked back lol... what ridiculous rate will your Capital One card be? Last one they sent me was 34% with a limit of £100 requiring a deposit of £100.... quite! Cut it up when it arrives hun!

I asked Payplan a similar question earlier, having three card accounts open (have cut the cards up but never got round to closing accounts) and they didn't seem too bothered... take my £250 overdraft off me and I'll be like a sulky kid lol... and I might even throw my toys out the pram.

Sure you'll be fine  and you've def not let the side down...

    CA x

P.s please put your bits away before they go blue and drop off...... :p
