  • JJ - it seems from your post you have come so far and fighting hard! Well done you :-)

I am sorry I don't have any advice, but very new to this and not yet completely set up on my DMP. But, I wish you the best of luck. Keep posting with how you get on. xx

Jilly put formal complaint in bold big letters at top and somewhere in it say you will take things further with the ombudsman and it will land in hands that need to pay attention.

Don't let it put a damper on things you are doing fab, this is just a faceless battle but so long as you battle and don't roll over you are doing well, sometimes its the little things in the whole aspect of life that take the longest.

You are definately not alone, but sometimes people assume we are doing so well that we don't need the support. My mother (we have had a fall out now) kept dumping all her financial things on me, with the well you like that kind of thing you are good at it - I don't like it but people mistake the bit of pride if thats the word in your small victories as something else. Deep down we all need to feel supported no matter how competant we seem!

Sorry sounded a bit preachy there but the rest of this board is all about hammering debts down which is important but for us DMP-ers we have to get our balance of life right again, learn new ways and budget beyond what anyone else has too!

    Spot on Ray. :T :T :T

hi everyone, hope you are all ok. Our DMP seems to be running smooth after 7 months. HELIFAX have suspended their calls for 3 weeks, wrote back and told them I only want contact in writting. We will see what they say.

I have noticed some people on here having problems with MBNA, we have debt with them about £4,500 and with VIRGIN MONEY £2,500. We have never had a phone call from them. They have stopped interest and charges, it has took them 6 months though. hope this helps someone.

    Hiya AMANI
I never received a phone call either the only problem I'm having is they are only agreeing to things over the phone and not in writing. Therefore they can quite easily stitch me up so i do not trust them at all.
I do agree they can take there sweet time, but you also have to watch your own back don't you :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi archer85 I am on a DMP with CCCs I have never contacted MBNA and they have only contacted us by letter. I have ignored all letters from them (routine stuff) unless i thought CCCs should see it, emailed it to them. This month is the first month they have not charged any interest after 6 months! I think I would just leave it to Payplan thats who you are with yes? Let them pay your pro rata payment to them every month and dont deal with them on the phone. Hope this is of some use to you.

Sorry archer85 just noticed you are also with CCCs not payplan.
  • Morning all

Sorry I've not been around lately but its been manic the last few weeks.

Not sure if you remember from my current posts but we are in our first month of a DMP with CCCS. All is going quite well, I have to say and so far, Capital 1, Next, Vanquis and HSBC have accepted our plan and reduced or stopped interest. However, I received a pack from HSBC last week saying that they have accept our offer of reduced payments and included a contract for a managed loan. I'm a bit confused as surely the agreement is now through CCCS. I really dont want to sign this contract. Is this the norm?

    Many thanks!

Don't sign the managed loan contact CCCS it is a well known tactic HSBC use nothing to worry about loads on here had that offer but spoke to either CCCS or Payplan!
  • Many thanks RD2! I wasn't sure if it was needed for the DMP. I shall send it to CCCS!

I htink HSBC are a little peeved at me for claiming charges back!:T
