This is the right place to discuss any worries you have we have people who are thinking about going with CCCS, people just starting, people first month in and people a year in! If you have any specific worries just ask away someone will be around to help.

Generally speaking I think everyone is nervous entering/considering a DMP but it mostly is not the biggie we think it is, its actually a positive step to getting our life backs after debt controlling them for so long.

With regard to PPI not sure, with bank charges some companies have let people have a cheque others have paid it off the debts. Personally I would do it but in the back of your mind assume if you get anything it will come off your debt if they offer you a cheque then it will be a bonus.

Obviously companies will want the full amounts and will write etc but you can ask them to only write and not phone and you can ask them to speak to CCCS or Payplan so the amount of hassle is probably not as much as you are dreading.

I do my own DMP but I changed my phone number so they can only write to me and I cope with it, what I could not cope with anymore was worrying about finding money for food or childrens needs, you have to weigh up yourself and decide if the time is right to tackle it and if you really can't go on anymore.

I can sympathise was wall papering last night until 2am - only one flipping wall but it had to be the most complicated one, dogiest plaster, fire place etc etc and the ultimate peerer offer - last drop half width of paper, and one foot short at the bottom so had to break into the third roll - I was looking forward to taking that back to B&Q and getting £17 back lol!
