well after the postal strike I have now received my letter from CCCS, I have signed the agreement form, sent the CCCS template letter to my 9 creditors and also opened my new bank account without overdraft at another bank. Feeling positive but at the same time quite scared, even though I talked to my first creditor today, Egg - they were really nice - and they said that as I am going about things the right way, with the CCCS, and because I have a reference number, they said they keep the default & debt in-house without going a debt collection agency.
Not sure about the others, time will tell I guess!

Scared what the future holds but happy to finally be sorting it....

It can seem scarey but at the end of the day you are doing something about it which is very positive, so many people ignore letters communications much better to tackle and you sounds well on the way!

    Hi YM!

SItting here waiting for the plumbers and three days of chaos of the fourth day we hope to have a warmer house that won't blow up rofl!
  • Hello all,
Hope everyone is well on this lovely sunny day - well where I am anyway!
It is my first payday today where by I don't have to sit and work out where money is going, who I should or shouldn't pay or where I am going to find the extra money to pay all these bills! My DMP is not finalised yet (due to start Nov) but this month I am in the process of sending token payments to all my creditors along with a drafted letter re Payplan. It is really really nice to not be thinking where am I going to get the money to pay for things! Have already jotted down my expenses re DMP - plan on taking the money out and depositing/paying everything this week.
On another happy note its my bday Sat so it's nice knowing that OH is out shopping for surprises for me.....well he'd better be anyway! All in all a good week and I can't beleive the change in me this payday since I decided on the DMP!!!! Most definately the right decision for me! x

Hi sortingit - I know what you mean - the first payment on the DMP was like a huge weight and it seemed weird not having to "find money" for milk, bread, electricity meter etc.

Best thing I ever did - but should have done it sooner ;)
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
  • hi all,
    ym.....lovely to hear you.x
had letter from m+s saying they accept the dmp!!!they said yonks ago they wouldnt but they seem to have realised that they are receiving regular, although small, dmp payments....so just keep battling on everyone, cos they come round in the end.
