thanks guys for your concern.:A we will wait and see.am up early this morn as dh gone to work and ds at skool.am out later, but hope i dont miss the post van with dhs ebay car mats.....another necessity he had to have!!!:D if you miss the van it takes ages to get the stuff cos it goes back to the sorting office...then its fone hell!!!!cos they dont answer:mad:

Morning all,
Hope everyone is well & having a good day so far despite the miserable weather. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you all for coaching me through the intial stages of setting up a DMP. I can't tell you how much better/what a difference it has made to me knowing that I am finally dealing with things and admitting that I couldn't carry on the way I was. I feel like a new person who can look forward in life again!
Payplan have been fantastic and have been in constant contact with me throughout. Yesterday they phoned to say that all creditors have been contacted now. I have made all my token payments and as of November I send my first payment to payplan. Fingers crossed they all accept - hopefully in a few months I will know exactly where I am.

Hello everyone. I don't know if you remember me as I haven't been on in absolute ages. Thinks had been going so well. Now they have hit rock bottom. I had a DMP with CCCS. It was going well. Over the summer I had a lot of financial problems - car breaking down, mortgage increase etc etc. The upshot was I missed 2 payments to CCCS. They were grand about it as I kept them informed. Unfortunately though the creditors weren't. Everything has been passed to debt collectors. None of them are pleasant. They are harassing me daily by phone and letter. I have told them all I'm with CCCS and CCCS are sending paperwork to them but it doesn't seem to be working.

I have been such a fool. If I hadn't missed those payments everything would have been fine. To top things off I'm due a baby in the next week.

I don't know what the way out of this is. I can afford the DMP payments again ok and if the DCAs would just accept this and leave me alone things would be ok. Somehow though I think things are only going to get worse.

Hi all. Hope things are ok with you ilgd.

Ex - hope things quieten down for you. I'm sure when they start getting actual payments from CCCS they will shut up. In the meantime, you have enough to worry about so just ignore them and try not to let it get to you too much. It's only money and once they realise they will get some from you (via CCCS) they will no doubt bog off and leave you in peace to enjoy your new baby

good advice newlywed to ex.its only money and the baby is more important.the worse thing is they take you to court, and im sure the judge will side with you and let you pay what you do now.youll get ccjs but they wont be able to hassle you anymore.you could have gone bankrupt and they would get nothing so ignore them.as soon as they say who they are on the fone....ask them to write, no fone calls cos you are ill and the stress is dangerous, then quote your cccs no and put the fone down.they will soon get the message.congrats on the impending birth.hope all goes well.let us know.

Hiya another old face popping it you see how you all are.

Im now 20 months into my dmp and life is great. I wish i had done this years before i did.
All creditors still happy bank charges refunded took a huge chunk of credit card and loan ballance, i have about 3 years left until im debt free but have never felt so positve about my money situation, iv sorted xmas for all 4 kids via cash only and am planning to go go abroad in 2009 with the savings i have (yes i actually have savings!!!).
To anyone just starting out..keep going you wont look back i promise!!

Thanks dlb. Needed to hear that today. Six months into mine and car repairs have taken all the spare pennies. So struggling a little this month.

I'm hoping that in another year or so I be saying just what you have
