One way to look at it clearing out lol!

Not sure if it helps but I included my Lloyds bank account in my debt management plan, so if they do charge you and put the account overdrawn you could ask payplan to include the account not sure if that was your plan anyway but if not maybe it will help?

I think I will do that, but I wont be able to give them a figure until I stop all DD's. Im going to get as much of money out over friday and saturday cancel my DD's ASAP put what I have left in my new account and hopefully pay my bills through that this month until it is all set up next month properly.

    thanks again Im almost smiling.
  • hi all,
was a bit worried that some of you might have taken my last post the wrong way(which is easily done on some of the threads) re the life story stuff.i meant that sometimes it worries me that what personal feelings im sharing with the ppl on here that i regard highly as mates, can be viewed by all the other thousands of mse-ers, who might view the stuff as out of context totally, and think im a raving lunatic(which lately is nearer the truth than id like to dwell on!!)
id hate to think that ppl were getting the wrong impression from reading one post, iykwim.
so apologies for any offence and hope that i have cleared it up, in my round about ,long winded way.
have wrote the letter to the nice ppl at cabot and we shall see.if they dont stop the charges, ill send a stronger worded proper complaint letter.
have looked on the say no to 0870 website and found ,by chance, some free (wel for me starting with 01)so will try them next time, cos although they use 0844/0845 nos, you end up being on ages cos you are holding and stuff.also for sky, cos they arent exactly speedy either!!
ashden....please dont worry re the house charge ,cos if youre not planning to move for years ,they cant do anything.as for that witch, next time just give them your payplan no and ask that all further correspondence is to be in writing, then put the fone down.they are trained to get their own dosh back and s*d any other creditor.they are full of lies and other stuff, iykwim so be strong and you will win.
rayday....you are on excellent form and posts are great.
    smile...thank you.you are a star.xx
dr jekyll...thanks again for your concern.x
    ym...hope you are well.xx
    all the newbies...hi,x
    take care all.

  • morning all  . sigh . I've been away ages. I am so:embarasse to admit I'm fallen off the wagon and its all gone horribly wrong. The DIY DMP was a good idea but i couldn't keep up with it. I have a now got a payplan case number (internet query) but i haven't called them back yet with an SOA. I am panicking at the thought of opening the mountain of letters sitting at home and the sorry state of my bank account either and I'm getting breathless just at the thought of it... BIG SLOW DEEP BREATH....

We're decorating the house to sell as me & partner are splitting up. so I am paying SVR on the mortgage until we get it sold as i don't want to buy his equity and i've got a charging order already on mine...It all feels a bit much today to be honest.

Awww you do have an awful lot on your plate, practially, financially and emmotionally.

So there forefore a fantastic idea to let someone else worry about the financial bits. Honestly in the state you are in the best thing you can do is what you are doing, open the letters purely for the balance then file them away - and deal with it piece by piece with payplan.

The other stuff - hell take it day by day its one less day in your life dealing with it all. Sorry it does not sound much help but its true and looking back you will see it.

    Take care!

I know how that feels. But for someone else to deal with it all for you and lift the weight and worry from you, you have to be able to give them the details.

And honestly, the feeling when it's sorted and you make your first payment is just so wonderful and such a relief that at least that part of your life is being sorted and you are being helped by someone.

Deep breaths now, just gather all of one type (or one bank) and start on those. Then have a break, walk away cup of tea, glass of wine ;)
