    Hi

Finally plucked up the courage to phone CCCS and have a telephone appointment on 1st June. Dreading that but hey it is the first step to clearing my debts. They have given me a reference number and I do feel like I'm doing something.

Can I get a DMP number on here now?

If so, how do I do it?

Bit sad eh, looking for my number but nobody knows about my debt and chatting on here does help. I've been more of a lurker until now but all that will probably change when the calls and letter start and I'm posting for advise every 2 minutes!

    Cheers

HI lonely2 I'm in the same position as you in that nobody knows about my debts and I have an appointment with the CCCS in June too.
I guess the thing to keep in mind is that we are doing something about the issue of debt and just calling the CCCS is a step in the right direction.
I have written a letter to my creditors exlaining I have rang the CCCS and have a ref number. I would say you should do this too to let them know about the situation...
here to help each other along the way!

    Hi.

    Good morning to you all.

Am at work until 3pm so when i get home we have a party planned for my Youngest DD who is 4 today. Not much fun being at work when you have a sibling who has a birthday.

lonely2. Well done on contacting CCCS. Do not worry about the phone call. These people are brilliant and you will be pleasently suprised.

Hope you all have a great bank holiday and the weather is kind.

    Bye

  • Morning All :)

Hope everyone is well, Hi to all the newbies.
I had to ring littlewoods this morning because they are denying that I sent them any letters. Spoke to this guy who must of had some hangover.
I have sent all letter templates from national debtline and have spoken to them various times.
Anyway he has said they cannot accept my payment because it is less than 1% and has told me he wants a letter from ndl confirming a proposal I kept saying I only can pay £3.88 per month, I told him that ndl don't write to my creditors he practically called me a liar, and he said they do write,

I am going to ring to confirm this in the morning and see what happens he said littlewoods are going to give me 14 days to sort this out or I will have a default issued. He told me to ask ndl if they won't write will they explain why and for me to send another letter,
I must of sent them at least 5 letters with budget sheets I am not going to ring them anymore I will just write.
Sorry bout the essay I just needed to vent
Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hi everyone.

Sorry i've not been on in a while. It's been a really busy week. Relitively quiet on the DMP front. I have only received one letter from a DCA stating that they have taken over my debt from the AA.

Once again I want to thank Crafting Queen for the letter template telling my creditors not to ring me. I know I've said it before but it has been at least two weeks since anyone has rung and I have stopped falling to pieces everytime the phone rings.

I am trying to catch up on everyones posts but this thread seems to be growing just as quick as part one!

Heregoes and toasti: Welcome to the greatest support network in the world!! (he, he)

Amani: Congrats on Sainsburys accepting. Thats really good news.

Teecee: Fab news on your NVQ. It must feel great to finally have finished.

Crafting Queen: I don't have any experience with Lloyds but they sound like idiots. Keep your chin up and please don't feel ashamed you have no need to.

natters: Good news about your PPI refund.

Valleygirl: Littlewoods also sound like idiots. Hope that you manage to get through to them this time.

Well I think I have said enough. Sorry for the long post. Everyone have a good BH Monday.

    Take care- Sweety

Thanks toasti and YM (and teecee for getting my all important number!)

I've just printed off the preparation pack which CCCS mailed me on Friday and I'm on hol today so I must phone the loan companies a bit later to get my balances. Not going to do that right at this moment though coz just printing off the pack has made me feel ill again. Think I will have a cup of tea (the answer to everything) and phone them a bit later in the afternoon. I know I have to do it today as I'm back at work tomorrow and my telephone appointment is on Friday. Going by the other threads on this site I should start to feel slightly more positive soon so I'm looking forward to that at least.

Hey check out my new sig. ha ha!

    Cheers

  • Hiya everyone,

sweety83 Glad everything is going ok with you .It's great when our creditors do read our letters. It worked really well for us with Northern Rock , and they were one of the first to accept our DMP.

So i've decided i will be doing the same with LLOYDS,haven't got much choice when they just don't listen to us.

QUESTION:- if creditors have accepted your dmp and payplan have had to change the propotional amount will they change their minds about accepting?
