Hi Everyone
Ym:- Hope your DD has a lovely birthday :bdaycake: If she having an outdoor birthday party? If so I hope the weather is nice in your part of the country. It's pouring here and has been since yesterday am.
Valley's girl:- Sorry to hear about Littlewoods. Hope you feel better now you've shared it with us and it gets sorted out soon.
All appears to be going well at the moment. Went food shopping yesterday and spent £35 for the week (I aim to spend under £50 so I'm happy with that). Saying that it is half term so might need to top up mid week. I went to Lidl and Tesco. Only problem was I also spent £30 on clothes at Tescos but there was 20% off and I was in desperate need of some new clothes. I got cropped trousers, a hoody, 2 T-shirts, and cropped trousers and T-shirt for my DS so quite a lot for my money.
Take care x:j PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTS :jPiggy points - 155

Going by the other threads on this site I should start to feel slightly more positive soon so I'm looking forward to that at least.
For me, it was when I made my first payment to CCCS, I felt so much more positive, and then later in the month realised I still had money for bread, milk, gas, electricity key etc because it had all been budgeted and I wasn't spending all my money on trying to pay interest!!!
That's a huge great relief. Honest.
I tried to deal with it myself for months, but got no-where. I only started my DMP this month (May) and already one has stopped interest temporarily and the other has halved interest immediately. I couldn't have done that without CCCS. So now I am getting somewhere and it feels just wonderful.
Just hope that the last creditor (loan and CC with them) will be as nice :rotfl:
The phone calls have stopped for me now, because everyone has been told about CCCS and they have sent payment proposals. So now everything is letters, and those haven't been too bad. Thankfully!!!
The not knowing what to do, where to turn, how I'm ever going to pay them and have rent money and food money - that feeling has all gone now, thanks to CCCS.
And another thanks to everyone on here, as I don't think I'd have had the courage to contact CCCS without the help here. Thanks:Tworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi tecee,
Our payments to payplan are the same but have had to redo the payments to all the creditors as lloyds have advice us the loan which we took out has ppi which has added a hefty amount on to it.So they are having a bigger chunk and so all other creditors are having less amounts paid to them.
So i'm concerned those that have agreed to the dmp will change there mind!

Craftingqueen - Can you cancel the ppi on the loan, the general advice here is that this is the first thing to cancel when starting to deal with your debts.DEBTS @ 1/1/07 - £25,800:eek: DEBT @ 04/05/11 - NIL

Hi Teecee,
We have asked about this, but payplan have told us you can cancel ppi on c/c's but loans are different they could offer us a new loan but higher rate so that we would be paying off the same amount.looks like i'm in a no win situation lol.

Sorry to hear this, hopefully your other creditors will be ok. Is it very much of a drop in payments for them?. If they have a copy of your I and E they will see that they are still receiving a propotionate amount. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you. Try to hang in there and keep your chin up. Don't forget we are here if you need to chat/rant.

Evening everyone
I had a voicemail last week from CCCS. She asked me to call and said that I had been expecting their call that evening. I knew nothing of it. I paniced to be honest. Anyway I phoned them the following day and they said they wanted to do a review. I thought it was too early for that but it's done now. Basically they went through my income and expenditure again. My council tax is up by £10 but my house insurance down by £15. She then told me the child benefit was up and worked out I have an extra £17 per month to play with. Therefore my payments are going up from £98 to £115.
I asked about claiming back bank charges from Hellifax (current accounts with them) but they are on my DMP for CC. She said go for it.
Hope everyone is well.0 -
Morning all
You can tell the bank holiday is over because the weather is lovely here today. Unfortunatly I am at work again so cannot really enjoy the sun.
I know being in debt is hard but I have joined the grocery challenge for the first time this month and what with the meal planning and budgeting i am really looking ahead and am excited about the challenge ahead and there i was thinking i would feel down and not up to it. Seems a bit strange and no doubt dark days ahead but i shall make hay while the sun shines so to speak.
craftingqueen. I think i may be having the same problem. One of my balances (EGG) has suddenly gone up from the original amount. I have emailed Payplan to let them know so hopefully will get sorted soon. I think Payplan took the amount outstanding from if i was to settle within 14 days. The actual difference is about £1700 earth pounds. Still many hurdles covered so far and EGG have already agreed to the offer from Payplan for the mentioned account. So not all bad
Hope you all have a good day and no nasty post

Hi everyone.
Well all my CCCS payments have come off all my debts (the ones I can check online anyway). So feel like I might be getting somewhere.
YM - I've been doing grocery challenge for months- some months are easier than othersI managed to halve my food bill after the first few months, but I was spending extortionate amounts before I came here!
Went out yesterday to the supermarket (food seige day obviously!!) as we had the borrowed car and I couldn't face the hassle of another messed up food delivery. Spent half my budget but then worked out all my food plan and realised the rest of the month I will probably only need some extra veg, bread, milk, eggs and a roast chicken for the whole month - so not doing too badly.
Manged to get my expensive hair products on offer, half price pork chops, half price chicken breasts, half price dishwasher tablets so hopefully the rest of the month shouldn't be too badworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
