I've had dealings with First Direct - they are part of HSBC but not sure if they react the same ;)

They have immediately agreed to my DMP (payments are roughly half what the minimum payment should be), and merged my credit card into my overdraft to halve interest, they have increased my overdraft to cover this merge so that I am not charged over limit fees either. So haven't had any problem with them so far :)

Well done on take another step forward toasti.

Yes. It's a case of dealing with it step by step. I wrote all the initial ones down like 1. Open new bank account, 2. get wages moved there, 3. notify creditors of DMP etc etc.

They are all ticked off and now I'm ticking off the agreements - have had two agreements, the third says minimum payment deferred (online) so hopefully agreed, and the fourth - just issuing me defaults and not saying anything else so waiting to see (owe them the most :o) Have written to them asking if they have heard from CCCS (as I know they have had the first payment due to text banking).

So now it's wait and see - meanwhile see how well I manage my new budget ;)

    Morning all.

    Well payday today.

Dont know about you but I find this the hardest time. You feel like your bank balance is healthy and you have loads to play with. Not the case so see how I get on.

At work again today hope you all have fun and enjoy your day

    Hi everyone

It at least it's stopped raining here at last!! Hope everyone is okay. I made £70 on Ebay last week but have nothing listed at the moment so will have to have another sort out. Other than that nothing much to report really.

Newleywed:- I got my CCCS statement through yesterday. Presumably they all get sent out on the same day. Hope you get sorted with a car soon.

Yellowmonkey:- It was payday for me on Friday and I also find this the hardest time. I find it much harder to budget when I see all those £££££££££££ in my account. Keep thinking what I can spend it on but know I must be good or I will still have this debt when i'm 100!!! At least on Friday DD will go out to CCCS.

    HardleyLisa.

Glad it is not just me. It is difficult when you get to the end of the month and you find yourself scraping around for the odd penny and then you get paid it seems like you are relativly rich.

Hard to restrain yourself but that was before i became wise and thrifty. Will not be long before i am wise and fifty.
