Good morning folks. Well I received my first form from CCCS the letter to send to creditors but I have already sent my own off,the info was pretty much the same anyway so not too concerned.I also got a letter from HSBC re reclaiming my bank charges and it said they are looking into thematter and will be in contact shortly.Fingers crossed if I do get the money back that will help loads in bringing my DFD closer...
How is everyone else this morning?
    :)

    hi all,
teecee....when DS had chickenpox, i put camomile and lavender essential oils in his bath and put some of the oils into some moisturiser and it really helped.didnt find the calamine much good as when it dried he was itching with it.they sell calamine cream at the chemist which doesnt dry out as much.hope it helps. xx
hope everyone is ok.no post today, which is how i like it now.
am feeling brighter today and waiting for DHs payday on 15th june.i know its miles away but am on overdraft already so its been a bad month.had loads of car bills and the monthly bills seem to have dropped before payday this month.used to catch up when DH was paid 4-weekly but is on monthly pay now so have lost a payday once a year.seems like when i get behind now, i never seem to catch up.
anyway, im not dwelling on it so, onwards and upwards!!!
    take care.regards, xx

    Hi all
not posted for a while have been busy getting my head round the dmp with cccs and dealing with creditors letters and token payments etc.
children off as well this week so keeping them occupied.

Teecee my son had chickenpox in february and i bought some calamine cream (from asda chemist) it was a lot easier to apply then the lotion and i also gave him liquid piriton for the itching and to help him sleep, he had loads of chickenpox and hardly any scars and was quite poorly with them as well. Its better they have them when they are small as i was 21 when i had them and it was terrible!!

My first payment with cccs starts June so the ball is rolling so to speak, i have only just missed all creditor payments in last few days, but have sent token payments etc. I am feeling less stressed about the whole thing in general now. I know its not going to be easy but i am prepared (i think) !!

    bye for now .

    So this car sounds good.

One way train tickets for me and OH on a weekend will only cost £38 (for both of us).

    But...

    1. We would have to arrange for the kids to stay with their mum (could start world war 3 as we have already had one weekend off from the kids this year). Can't honestly see the two boys going on a 4 hour train journey!!

    2. We would have to find either petrol money or train fare back again.

    3. We would have to sort out insurance cover to get home.

    4. If we don't get the car or don't like it we will be very depressed!!!

    5. If we get the car we have to replace OH's tax savings.

But... just worked out buses and taxi costs for the rest of the month and even if you add on the train fare, petrol money for the journey home and the month, and insurance costs - we will (hopefully) just break even this month and then save about £80 a month every month after that!!

No wonder I want a car so very badly!!!

Sorry Newlywed - you've probably said this already but I can't find it!! Have you seen pics of the car? If it's something you really want then it would make sense to go get it. The kids are a problem tho (in a nice way!!). If they came, would you hve to take car seats with you on the train as well? That could be tricky - or do they just have little boosters?

    Hi everyone

Sea:- Welcome back. Glad you enjoyed your trip to London. Well done on your DFD

Teecee:- Neither of my children have had chickenpox yet but I wish they had because it's better to have it when they are young. So sorry can't offer any advice but lots of good advice from others. Hope she is not too itchy - bless her.

Newlywed:- Don't know how old the children are but I know mine wouldn't be too keen on a 4 hour journey to buy a car. Hopefully their mum will be okay about it if you decide to go.

No, not seen the car, but have driven a similar one (but they couldn't find the paperwork so we wouldn't buy it). This car is from a cousin's friend so I know them and trust them and the car has MOT etc. My cousin has seen the car.

We have no car and so far the ones we have looked at in our price range have "lost" documents, are heaps of rust, have mold all over the inside, or (last week's one) were written off two years ago and shouldn't be on the road

Car seats aren't needed but the thought of an 8 and 12 year old on a train for four hours means I might need tranquilisers!!! And then it would cost us £60 to get there and no-where for us to stay (cousin can fit two of us in the front room but not four) so we would have to drive straight back as well. :o

I just want a car with 4 doors and 4 wheels
