    Hi everyone

PompeyMark:- I believe on the refund of charges form it stated on my acceptance the funds would be transferred to my current a/c within 7 days. I'm sure there was no mention of any account numbers.

Lonely:- Yes I have a loan with A&L and they were first to agree to DMP. However, they had already issued default prior to CCCS contacting them with reduced payments.

Hey troops jus joined up not long ago and this is my second post. I have decided to take out a DMP with CCCS and I have sent all my documentation away to my creditors and CCCS. My debts total £12,000 and its time I got it sorted.

Heres a quick breakdown of my debts:

    Nationwide: £9000
    Skycard : £1998
    MBNA : £900

And I also have a car on HP I was jus wondering if any of you guys have dealt with these companies, just preparing for any hassles.:rotfl:

    Cheers. Dandoprso

Lonely - sounds like a bit of a nightmare with Payplan - I've not had these problems yet, but don't know if CCCS are like them at all.

dandosporo - welcome! :hello: Sorry I don't know about those companies, I'm sure someone on here will though! :)

newlywed - the car sounds good then - the journey & kids does not!! :) Hope you manage to get childcare over the weekend.

ilgd - thank you - I'm trying to be more positive about things and I think it's helping a little! however, my addiction to mse is not so good :rotfl:

    Hello hello hello hello!!!

Sorry ONCE AGAIN for my absence. It's been due to a combination of lack of laptop (been broken) and been away galavanting all over the place.

I hope everyone is well. I'd love to catch up on the posts but I'd be up til all hours - you've been so busy! Hello to all my old friends and to my new ones :hello:

I'm in a bit of a tizz at the mo. I've somehow spent all of my monthly wage in one week (normal direct debits plus a few unexpected, but necessary things). Means that I'm really struggling to find pennies for petrol and monthly payment of car insurance (due tomorrow, gonna bounce - first payment so will cancel the policy). I can't believe I've gotten into this mess. I've not had a chance yet to build up a pot of emergency money due to my massive car payment last month. I've been scrapping together literally EVERY penny I can find, taking things back to shops to find some more funds. I've sold some stuff on Ebay, got a few more thinsg to go, but the money takes so long to reach your bank account. I don't mind scrimping for the next three weeks, but I'm so worried about not being able to get to work due to no petrol/car insurance.

Anyone else been in this boat? Any magic wands to wave?!

Sorry, I really wanted to come back all upbeat, but you know how it is. Once I get past this next week I'll be back on form - yippee!!

Hope to speak to you all soon,

Nice to have you back but sorry to hear of your spending. I seem to be struggling to build up a emergency fund at the moment as something always crops up. Hope you are not to down as your outgoing personality shines through in your posts.

As you are oop North can you not eat some heather washed down with some Irn bru. Should keep you going for months :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning all.

Having problems with any savings myself as bus fares and car hunting are taking up all the excess money :o

Had good news yesterday! When I spoke on the phone to FDirect last week they said when they amalgamate my account it will be charged at 3% above base rate (so 8.5%). It was 17% so it's an improvement. But yesterday the letter confirming it came through and said 1% above base so now its down to 6.5%. Better than nothing (although would be nice if they would stop it). They say if I keep to the payments then they won't take any further action - so hopefully will escape a default from them. ;)

    newlywed.

Great news about First Direct. :T :T . They are one of mine and they have amalgamated my accounts. Did not mention about % rates though, but reading your post, hopfully mine will go the same way.

Yeah, the CC was moved into the OD so the OD interest is less than the CC interest was.

They merged them last week and sent a letter to confirm. They said they are sending another separate letter detailing interest on the overdraft but the confirmation letter said 1% over base rate.

I know it's not stopped interest but I'm sure I wouldn't have managed to get them to do that without the help of CCCS and the DMP. ;)

It's all little steps in the right direction :D

Oh and the car thing - looks like if I can get a weekday off work then train there will only cost us £16 each. Just debating whether I should book the £17 each return tickets or not as if we get the car it will be wasted. If we don't get the car and don't pre-book tickets it will cost us over £50 each to get home!
