  • Morning All hope everyone is ok just got back from the cab the advisor said to continue to pay the same amount , he will write to all of the creditors explaining about my change of circumstances, he can't understand why littlewoods and barclays won't accept even though it is six months now when I started my dmp.
The only problem is because matt has turned 18 I don't know how much housing benefit I will have to pay extra I will have to ring them and find out, we will still be exempt from council tax because he is going to uni. I will see how it goes, although I don't worry so much about my debts like I did in the begining.
Amani hope things are good with you!
Car has gone into the garage so will wait and see how much it costs
    Have a good day all

  • ilgd Know what you mean about the post. I think the postie has forgotten me. Not a bad thing but i didn't realise how much my creditors were also my penpals:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Look forward to the readers digest offers now. If anyone is reading this at the start of their DMP and can see no end to the letters etc . It does end me and ilgd and many more on here are testimony to that fact.

Off to do tea and then chill out before i get up for work tomorrow at 05:00.

Enjoy the rest of the day

Hi all!! Managed to get basic bank account opened yesterday at Clydesdale Bank so just need to transfer all my DDR's and STO's over that I need to keep then I can cancel all the ones I don't want ie to my creditors!! We wanted a joint a/c but hubbie couldn't make it yesterday so i opened it in my name only and will add him on when he can get into bank. Can we get his wages paid directly into this new a/c even though it is only in my name?

Now I am just unsure of the timing for sending all my creditors their DMP letters and also the CCCS - any advice please - should i wait til my wages are safe in our new a/c?

Oh I have another question - our mortgage is on a fixed rate at the moment til 2009 - what will happen at that time as we will still be well and truly on our DMP? Do you think the Northern Rock will give us another mortgage at this time - we have no missed pyts on the mortgage.

  • Have just read this page although have been back from holiday for nearly three weeks now. Also in a caravan and had a good time. Don't have time to read every page for six weeks but really good to see the regulars posting.

Still getting statements but no hassle from any creditors these days so those who are starting on their DMP can def. look forward to less stress as the banks do stop the ph. calls.

    Regards to all,

    John
