I wonder if any of you can answer a question for me please... My friend is with Payplan on a DMP and has done her budget based on her monthly income but she does regular overtime and has not told tem about this extra money... I'm sure they will find out and this is not allowed but she is just ignoring it getting the extra money every month and not letting them know.. Is there any way they will find out and if they do what will they do?

    Thanks

    Hi Mae

I'm on a DMP with CCCS and I would imagine that Payplan work in the same way as regards overtime.

Overtime is not guaranteed income and so therefore I am under the impression that it is not used to calculate your monthly Income and Expenditure. If your friend wants to decrease the time her DMP will last and her overtime is absolutely guaranteed it may be worth including it, but if there is a chance it could stop the creditors would need to be contacted with new payment offers and they are much happier when payments go up rather than down!

    Hope this helps

  • Had a 15 telephone call from Lloyds TSB this morning trying to get me pay more money. I explained that I was on a DMP and that they needed to communicate with CSSC. She was very pesistent and would not give in keep asking me for further payments! She had all the details in front of her and I was getting to point were I wanted to tell her to 'F' off but I kept my cool. She eventually give in, in the end but I felt drained.

I looked at my kids and wanted to throw in the towel! I thought the kids don't need this! Why have I let this get to this!?

I came off the telephone and felt like screaming. I felt shhiiitttt and wanted to throw in the towel. 3 months into my DMP and I should be happier that things are being sorted but I can't seem to lift myself! Did everyone feel the same?

Sorry for offloading this but I feel better communicationg with people who understand and have/are going through the same!

I am now starting to panic about Christmas!

hi Boltonbwfc I have been with CCCs on a DMP for 6 months now, I dont have any debt with lloyds tsb, but halifax can be as bad. just tell them they know you sittuation, tell them you are with CCCs on a DMP give them you ref number and tell them you cant make any extra payments and say goodbye.

I know you feel like giving in but they will get the message eventualy. I think RAYDAY2 has had dealing with lloyds she is doing her own DMP, I dont think she will mind if you PM her.

  • Hi all
Teecee heres the kick up the bum you asked for (albeit a gentle one - lol ;) ) and a reminder of how awful things were in the beginning and how far you have come in "real" terms!! Where would you rather be back there or here?? I'm using a little of my no smoking philosophy here - look at me I'm MSE multi-tasking :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !! Another of my stop smoking strategies is not looking too far ahead simply take each day as it comes. OMG hope I don't sound patronising, trying to sound inspirational :rotfl: :rotfl: !! I really mean I hope things perk up for you soon honey!
Hi to everyone else, don't post much (yay I hear you shout  ) but keep a close eye on you all!!
    Take care

  • hi,bolton....i know its hard but you have to try to stay strong.next time you get a long call, just say you see no point continuing with the call as its making you ill.you cannot pay them what you havent got, quote the dmp no over and over......then wish them good day.if they keep foning, just say hello, quote the dmp no and say goodbye.
i know its hard and seems so easy for someone who isnt there with you when they fone, but 15 mins is harassment, so let the cccs take the strain.afraid lloyds are pretty bad but they get the drift in the end, i promise.am sure that rayday had some wonderful letter you could send them, and she will be here later to advise, as shes really good at hitting them where it hurts, iykwim.
some comps will do anything to get their pound of flesh, opps, i mean their money!!!hang in there and ask for no more fone calls , just letters for filing to show at court, if necessary.you cuold also imaging them sitting on the loo, starkers and then they dont seem so threatening afterall.

hi teecee, thanks about the hol.sorry you are abit down.was like that myself a while back.my dmp is 26 years, so theres consolation for a start.know it feels like the dmps a prison sentence but i think its a normal phase to go through, hark at me!!!!must Admit i miss the ease of reaching for the credit card for the easiest, and its a scarey thought when all you have to rely on is whats in the bank, but i do believe that life has a way of sending the right stuff along just before you lose the will to carry on.so dont quit on us now!!! xx
mae....dont think they will find out.if it was me, i wouldnt tell them(sorry)but i would deffo put the extra in a savings a/c or similar, then when i had enough, id ask for f+fs from the comps to get rid of the debt quicker.wouldnt fritter it away if its not guarranteed o/time.
also agree with teecee re the guy whos dads in debt and the house thing, cant rem his name and cant go back a page to find it cos id lose my essay, iykwim.so apologies to you.suppose if it was me, would sell up and get rid of the debts.a clean slate, then at least if your dad gets into any more debt,it wont be yours.more knowledgeable ppl will advise you if you start a new thread.
never ceases to amaze me what different ppl know on this site, and 99.9% is really great.the rest are idiots, imho.
well, im off now so all the gang take care.
    love ilgd xx

  • Morning all.

Here i am at work and quite at the moment so had a quick read through. Nice to hear some of the regulars are back now BB's finished  Hi amami.

teecee. Sorry you are feeling a bit down but i know how you feel. My DFD is 7 years away and some days are OK but other days i just feel so P****d off for no apparent reason. These days are getting less and less and am looking forward to the day i am debt free. At least i have a date now to look forward to and i could still be struggling with my finances and then have another 7 years to go on top of that. We have at least started ( albeit small steps ) on the road to freedom and ,remember, all great adventures start with the first small step.

Well my Bingo winnings have nearly gone after my shoe shopping expo. After looking we decided to go for Clarkes and purchased 2 pairs of shoes at £28 each  . Mind you i got my way and did not give in to the pleading for the shoes with a dolly in the heel. What is that about. They will be forever taking their shoes off. Not pratical and i sound like my mum now so i must be officially grown up :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well and i wish you a lovely Sunday. Finish at 14:30 so will enjoy my day then.

    Take care all
