DR J The holiday sounds dreamy. We have not been on holiday this year, but my 2 eldest sons went with their nan to the coast in a caravan, they had fantastic weather for the week. They loved it. Hubby is working long hours(plenty of overtime) so we would like to go and see his family in Egypt for a month next year. We only have to pay for flights.0

Hello everyone
Just thought I would drop in and say hello and see how you all are. Not much happening with my DMP and the moment which is good news. No phone calls or letters - is it the calm before the storm I ask myself.
Only problem is the washing machine has finally decided to die. It's been in the process of it for the last few weeks. OH said to go to Bennetts and buy one interest free and pay it off in a year's time. We have done this before and saved the money up over the year. However, I have got some overtime money to be paid at the end of the month so we would be able to buy it in full then and MIL said I can use her's until then. Not sure what to do?
YM Glad to hear everything is all okay again in "Chez Monkey".
Newlywed Great Universal were one of mine but they transferred it out to General Credit group who have since transferred it to the dreaded Moorcroft. All my payments seem to have reached them. I was surprised when they transferred as that was my smallest debt (£120 approx). Glad you got it sorted.
Dr J Glad to hear you had a great holiday.
Amani Good luck with saving up for your holiday to Egypt next year.
I am now going to do a meal plan for the week. I have got loads in the freezer but keep forgetting to get something out so then have to go to the shop and buy something for our evening meal so am going to be more organized this week (when I told OH he said "did I just see a pig fly past the window!!!).
Oh well better go.

Afternoon all.
Thought I would say hi as I have just arrange a DMP with CCCS. I'm actually quite surprised at how much a month they have left us to live off, it works out at £750 a month and thats after our rent and bills have been paid. Does this sound right or should I be paying more? We have been living off around £350 a month recently though so I guess CCCS's allowance is a luxury!
I am sending off all our creditors forms tonight explaining about the DMP and am also posting our recent statements, wage slips to CCCS.
I guess this is the calm before the storm as from what I've read I have a few phone calls to expect!
Thanks for the wonderful thread guys, at least I never feel like I'm on my own!:T0 -
HI weezypoos and welcome to the gang!
Sorry I dont understand what is the £750 for is it just for food?0 -
Not just food. Things like food, petrol, school dinner money and general day to day running costs.0
-
I dont know how many of you there are, but yes that sound quite normal for CCCs
ps. it does seem like a luxury when you have been struggling to make ends meet.0
