You don't sound daft at all, I feel a bit of a failure especially as my current husband had never had a credit card, but then again he never owed anything bigger than a car, which his Dad borrowed him money for. Now we have a house and a hefty lesson we have learnt or is it learned!
Not sure what to make of my postie all he brought today was a payslip and a dominatrix and dildo catalogue - I promise I never requested that I have a feeling I have fallen fowl of a prank - either that or entered one too many competitions on the board without looking lol!0 -

Sorry to off load on you all again but I am fed up!
You will remember back in early June our MIL ending up in intensive care after a routine op and it was touch and go..
Anyway this evening minding my own business at home the phone rings and it is Rotherham A&E - my ex husband has been in a motorbike accident he is very poorly moving him to Northern General Trauma unit. He has smashed his pelvis, broken both arms and unsure of any internal injuries until he goes into surgery tonight.
He had been concious and picked me to be rung, had to ring my ex MIL who I can't stand with a passion she is a very cold woman! She has both my eldest daughters with her. So now I have to wait for her to bring them home the 4 hour trip tomorrow - I could scream, cry, shout at the luck we are having. Money stuff I can cope with but the bad Eastenders script life is coming too is getting too much!
How many dreaded phone calls can one person take
Apologies for dumping on you esp when we all have a lot on and I hope if you got post it brought good news and no nasty phone calls!0 -
Hello everyone
Rayday Sorry to hear you have another family crisis. Are you still friendly with your ex as he asked the hospital to call you or did he not want to worry his mother who I presume is his next of kin.
Speak to you all soon.Make £10 a day challenge: November - £0/£3000 -
I get on really well with him, ever since I left!
He tells me more of what happens than his mum, his mum tends to nag about things and at the moment she is more bothered about her dog and telling him off about teh bike!
I rang this morning he is in Intensive care and was operated on both his arms and pelvis he needs to be more stable to have further surgery on them all. And his bloomin mother has lied to the girls and said he fell off a stool! I told the nurse on IT and she said well thats a bit daft he is going to be in hospital for weeks! His mum also told them they can't see him - grrr!
Anyway I am popping in to see him before she gets here then I can tell the girls I have seen him and they may believe more of what I say then.
Thanks for your thoughts.0 -

All quiet for me on the DMP front. DD has gone to my brothers down souf for the weekend so I have been busy doing housework in the hope the tidy rooms will stay that way for a least a day or twoShe is like a mini whirlwind so I'm probably being a little optimistic!
rayday - Sending you big hugs, you really seem to be going through it at the moment. Hope your Ex recovers well and you DDs are not too upset, at least they have got you to help them through a really tough time.:grouphug:
