Evening All
Ireneh - Paying the first payment at the post office is normal practise for CCCS I don't know why maybe it's something to do with ensuring the first payment is made on time and giving you time to set up a new bank account if you haven't managed to before the 1st payment.
I have had a look at the Post Office website and it says that you can withdraw money from a Nationwide (Flexaccount and Current) Account with a card and PIN number but you can't pay cash or cheques into the account via the Post Office. I have a Nationwide Flexaccount and have never had any trouble withdrawing money at the P.O.
Thanks so much for the advice and taking the time to look at the PO website, I don't know why I didnt' think of that.0 -
I had to make my first payment to CCCS via cash at a PO.
I have A&L account - be warned the max you can withdraw at a PO with that is £250 unless you make prior arrangements via the phone.
I actually had to make my first payment via three withdrawals - £250 from A&L cash point, £250 from branch desk (which is A&L maximum and they moaned that I wasn't using the machine) and then the next day had to get the rest out from PO or cash point. It was a bit annoying!!!
So be prepared in case you get the same thing - you can pay up until about 10th of the month so if you do get caught out, you have a couple of extra days to pay the money to CCCSworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi everyone,
Nice sunny ,windy day here.Hope everyone is doing o.k with their DMP.
Postie has been,LLOYDS have sent hubby statement saying that they haven't recieved payment etc... and that the agreed arrangement may be halted if we don't pay double the amount that was agreeded? i think they are
trying to get more out of us.
This will make everyone laugh, had yet another letter from NEXT that's every day this week i have recieved a letter from them. This time they have said they will accept the DMP, if we pay £5 .Have let PAYPLAN know, and will see what they have to say.
Hope everyone has a great day,and the postie has been kind .

Hi
Not a good day today what with the OFT taking the banks to court . That has well and truly scuppered my claim for at least a year  . Only 9 days away from an offer as well.
Phoned the camp site where we are going in 2 weeks and that is closed due to the flooding
Work this afternoon and really busy as it is the school holidays
But
"Always look on the bright side of life" as Monty Python would say :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hope you all have a good day

Sorry dumb not looked into the bank charges properly I was a muppet who checked daily and begged and borrowed to avoid going overdrawn! So how does the OFT court thing effect you?0

Hi ray.
I have not recieved an offer yet but i was 9 days away from finding out as i spoke to Nat West the other day. It will be on hold now until this case is sorted. Could take up to a year  . Still its only just over £1000

Oh I see!
Pants! Sorry to hear that for you0 -
hi :hello:
ym....sorry re the banks.whats a £1000 when you are in debt and have no money  ,never mind in a years time you may get a lovely surprize:D will they refund the hol money for you if they are still flooded or re book for later??
im so stick of the rain.put the washing out cos dh said it would be nice all day, been out 2 hours and had to bring back in.am using leccy like its going out of fashion.hate to use the tumble dryer cos im a miser, basically :rotfl: em, i mean im a practising mse.
postie been good again.strangely am more wary now when post is received in case its court letters or more defaults.hard to explain as now everytime i receive the letters saying no credit anymore, im not so much angry ,as sad ,really, cos it makes me more aware that i have failed to run my financial life in an adult way and should know better.do i sound daft???i know what im trying to get at but am bad at the explanation
felt really in control of the finances for my family and was confident that i coyld always live within our means, then never realised the moment when it all got out of hand, it just seemed to, iykwim.
now knowing that ill not be able to get credit again(and be honest, it was a good feeling to buy stuff you needed, there and then, by brandishing a cc, then worring after if you coyld afford it)...makes me feel like ive failed.
god, shut me up now, someone !!!:o
sorry, im bringing the thread into doom and gloom.
just ignore me and ill be ok later:rotfl: you all know what im like by now.another deep moment!!!
dont know how you all put up with me
take care all.
love ilgd xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with
