hi all,
in same boat as newlywed re the mint cc, but havent received a statement for about 2 months, so am expexting the a/c passing over.at least the interest wil stop and the debt will go down.i got £24 overlimit charges refunded a few months back cos it was their fault and they knew it!!
rayday....id like to thank you again for the expert debt info and the mega post was really beneficial to everyone on here as i think, most peeps are so worried about their debts ,that let these comps get away with murder, cos they think its legal.i, for one, am glad you are on my side and its good to know i have someone to ask, who knows what games they play.
bit dull here, expecting the rain(again!!)later, so whats new!!!thought we had it bad till you see the places further south, on bowsers and no water, leccy, or flushing loos!!!and the poor woman who lost her twins.anything im faced with pales in comparison.also are getting heatwaves and fires abraod, which i suppose is as bad.....so nothing to complain about, have we, really??
getting alittle deep now, will catch you all later.
take care, love ilgd xxPeople bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Hi there
I am starting my DMP with CCCS on Aug 1st and have the money to pay the first monthly payment to them. I understand that I can't set up a DD until after the first months payment. I have a transcash slip to pay at the PO but it says no cheque allowed, is my only option cash at the PO? I am not altogether happy about carrying several hundred pounds in cash to the PO!
Also, I have a Nationwide visa debit card, does anyone know if I can withdraw cash at the PO with it?
Thanks in advance for any advice, the forum has been such a help to me in dealing with my debt and I really appreciate the people that take the time to provide others with so much moral support. :T0 -
bumping just in case anyone knows0

Hi ireneh
Cannot really help with regards to CCCS as i am with Payplan and my DD was set up to begin from my bank account as soon as i had changed banks. Seems strange why you cannot set up a DD with CCCS until the second payment. There are loads on here with them so they should be able to assist.
Not sure about the Nationwide Visa either as i have never withdrawn cash from the PO with a Visa. Can you not just pay with the visa debit card ?.
Not a lot of help really but should bump you up for a bit of advice from the CCCS gang.

ireneh,
am with cccs and think that first payment by po is the norm.... but had slight confusion with my first as i paid at po then arranged dd, but think cos i paid early by bout 2 weeks, they were gonna take the dd as well.could always go straight to po with cash, disguised as a parcel(??)or get dropped off there so no chance of losing it.will run smoothly after first one.po have hefty charges if i rem.People bring great joy into our lives..some by arriving, others by leaving.im trying to be one of the former, so please bear with

Evening All
Hope you are all well!
amani - Really good to hear from you and great news about all your creditors accepting the DMP:T
newleywed -Congratulations on your 4 stars:T :T :Tand Good Luck with Mint.
Ireneh - Paying the first payment at the post office is normal practise for CCCS I don't know why maybe it's something to do with ensuring the first payment is made on time and giving you time to set up a new bank account if you haven't managed to before the 1st payment.
I have had a look at the Post Office website and it says that you can withdraw money from a Nationwide (Flexaccount and Current) Account with a card and PIN number but you can't pay cash or cheques into the account via the Post Office. I have a Nationwide Flexaccount and have never had any trouble withdrawing money at the P.O.
craftingqueen - Hopefully once your acc is passed to DCA you will get less hassle. Good Luck!
Rayday - Thanks for your very detailed post I'm sure lots of people will find it extremely helpful :A
