  • Hi all
Huge hugs come your way Ray, know what you mean about the financial thing being a doddle to deal with compared to the "soap" life! Hope things are better and that your dd's aren't too traumatised by it all!
Life quiet for me, had an awful experience on Friday, a man collapsed in the supermarket and I knelt by him and held his head but he stopped breathing and I (shamefully) didn't have a clue what to do, first aiders arrived quickly (didn't feel quick at the time) and gave hime cpr until paramedics arrived, I don't know who or how he is but my prayers are with him and his family. LIFE REALLY IS SO PRECIOUS AND SO ARE OUR LOVED ONES!
Take care all - love and hugs

Thanks again you all come up tops!

Went to see him and feel a little more at ease now I know what we are dealing with, I took a photo of him too for the girls to see once I had told them the truth and they were fine with it, well not obviously over the moon but they come ask questions and they trust me that he is OK.

One big problem he has though is that he can't sign anything both arms in plaster, he is sure his job has no sick pay straight on SSP so we have to go through all his paperwork see who he owes and try to get interest suspended. He has a mortgage and a secured loan I am hoping his mother offers to pay those for him.

His friends came one was very tearful he was behind him and saw what happened. I real feel for him with a mother like he has and being alone but we will try to visit as much as we can, I got a key to the house off his friend and sorted out his i-pod for him - its only little things we can do but they make me feel better!

My hubby is being brilliant he is annoyed at the lack of care of his mother she spent less than an hour with him - really don't see where she is coming from she was actually in our town for over 4 hours before she did the 17 miles to the hospital. If it was one of mine I would be there instantly!

Anyway I am waffling and you are all busy people with your own worries - thanks again

Morning all. Hugs to you rayday. Hope all is ok soon. I won't let OH ride a motorbike.

Good news from me, got my text balance from Mint CC and it looks like they haven't put any interest on for last month :) Hopefully they are not just late applying it ;)

So it looks like all the balances will now go down :j

    Great news newlywed.

Must admit it is nice to see the balance of your debt go down. Quite inspiring actually. Not used to it as i used to watch it increase every month pre LBM.

Yeah it went upwards for way too many months before I found this thread and CCCS ;)

So it looks like my DFD should be about Aug 2012.

Postie has been no post only cards for matt, I haven't had much sleep matt went out last night with his mates to a venue type thing anyway four of his friends 3 girls and his mate were walking around the fair type thing it was a massive venue. These 2 blokes and 2 women starting pushing around the girls and following them. So they stayed there a little while and decided to go back to the car nothing was said to them.
They all walked back to the car about a mile away they continued to follow them Matt got everyone in the car and this bloke decided to punch Matt in the face for no reason at all.
I am so bl@@dy angry poor luv the inside of his mouth is cut really bad and his cheek is so swollen he won't go to the hospital to be checked out he feels to embarassed. Lovely birthday pressie hey!
Sorry to vent Matt is such a quiet lad I said to him why the hell didn't you hit him back but he said that would lower him to their level!!

Valley's girl. Awful news about your DS. There really are some scroats about nowadays. I bet he remembers this birthday for a while. Still in this day and age good job it was only a punch. Not making light of it but you hear about some awful things happening these days. He sounds very sensible though you are lucky there.

ida. I echo what valley says and i hope the old fella is OK.

Good news for me today. Got 3 cheques through the post 2 from my water company and one from my gas/electric provider. Total of £64.33 :j . I did not expect a refund from the gas/electric as i am on a pre payment meter:confused: . This will go into my rainy day account . Mind you like the weather there has been a lot of rainy days lately so the account is a bit low. Must find a way to fix the leak :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Going swimming today at the local sports centre which is re opening today after they had a new ceiling fitted after the earthquake we had down here a few months ago. The best bit is that it is free for today and they are having a pool party. No cost involved :j

Hope you all have a good day
