Postie delivered me a standing order slip at last for a DCA no way I was paying direct debit!

Also a cheque for £23 from Global Test Market - that goes into one of my girls savings accounts paying them back from us borrowing it for MIL when she was in Intensive care!

    Morning all

Hope you are all well. Nothing really to report today. Went down town as the local shoe shop had 'doodle's'(Clarkes shoes) on sale at only £7. Measured my DD's feet and they must have a blood line to hobbits somewhere as they are a size 'H' width fitting :rotfl: . Suffice to say that they had none of the shoes in that fitting. May be cheaper to but some tennis rackets as they are more or less the same shape as their feet:rotfl: :rotfl: . Still at least they will not blow over in a storm and they have even weight displacement when they walk. Only joking they have lovely feet just need to buy a bigger width fitting in future.
Popped into Debanhams and noticed that they had 50% off a 2 pack of school shirts. Good deal i thought until i studied the label further and discovered that the reason it was reduced was because 1 shirt was missing:rotfl: . Surely that is full price for the one shirt  .

Nothing else to report only my above observations

Hope you all have a good day

newlywed Sorry can't help with your query as i have a council house and no mortgage. Hope someone can help later.
  • Hi everyone,

Not good day yesterday one our pets had to be put to sleep. So had to explain to all our children what had happen. We are having her cremated which is gonna set us back £100.So gonna have to pay it out of rainy day fund.
On the DMP front not looking good,NEXT want our payment to go up from £1 to £5 .Payplan have adviced us not to as it would'nt be fair on our other creditors, which i totally understand.Lloyds have inform payplan that they are refusing to accept,so we have been told to expect it to be passed on to their DCA !!!!

Had no post as yet yesterday or today here's hoping for some good news.

craftingqueen Sorry to hear of your loss. Must be tricky explaining to your children these sort of events. Will have to do it myself one day and am not looking forward to it.
Also sorry to hear of the problems you are having as well with your DMP. Next are a bit of a pain apparently and with reference to a DCA they are better to deal with ,so i am told, than your original creditor. I hope that is the case for you.

DCA agencies are usually better to deal with than companies, at least with them they know it is best to accept any money than none at all!

    Fingers crossed for you!

Sorry about the pet bereavement - went through that a couple of years back with a kitten we had. We didn't have him cremated (meanies we are!) but we did adopt another cat from a rescue centre and she has been a welcome addition to the family!

ym daughter works at Clarkes, got her little sister a pair of doodles supposed to be good in the washing machine.
