    hi all
good news crafting queen on dmp side of things. sorry to hear about loss of your pet. We have a cat that is about 15 now and i really would be sad if something happened to it.
Had a good day today went out with children to a fun day and all bouncing castles free long queues but it was good, the weather was good and they had icecream and we took a packed lunch with us.
My daughter had some euros to change from her school trip she went on in May and got £30 (bless her she kept £20 and said here mum you can the £10 that is left.) I will of course spend it back on her but she is so sweet hope she stays like that she is 12 now. She went into the town centre for first time this week with her friend and i was so worried but she made it back in one piece and had a great time.
On a totally different subject has anyone been bitten by mosquitos in the uk just lately ?i had 2 bites last week and now have a big bite on top of my leg, the neighbour has them and also my husband said some of his work mates have them too. Only ever been bit abroad before but the one on my leg is the size of 10p piece!! and very red. I live in yorkshire area so not sure if it due to recent floods etc.
Take care all hope tommorrow brings good news on dmp side of things.
    bye for now

I saw on the news that the recent weather has meant mosquitos are thriving so you never know could be!

Keep telling me nice things about 12 year olds, my daughter starts secondary school in September she is lovely now but I am so scared of her changing and losing her!

    Hi all,

Hope you're keeping well and things are going smoothly. Rayday - hope the ex is getting better.

Well, not posted for a couple of days but thought I'd give you a quick update

DMP is now in place, all letters have been sent to Creditors and CCCS have sent back their information pack with how much each creditor will receive etc.. Having looked at my list I have 1 Creditor in the name of: Blair, Oliver & Scott - now looking at this amount I know that this is the Sainsbury's Loan I had however does this mean they've already transferred the debt to a DCA? - Quick work if it is!!!

And... my ex bank!! I cancelled all Standing Orders and Direct Debits to Creditors as advised so that I can make token payments this month - only to find out today that my bank re-instated the Standing Order and took the 'full payment' for the loan out of my overdraft which is already over the limit even when I told them I would pay 50% which was £200. I'd sent a bill payment to the loan account for this amount, which they then credited to another account where the payment doesn't even come from. They then rang me to say they received all the DMP paperwork and have accepted my token payment for this month - I duly explained the above to which I received the reply that they had to take the full amount! Even though there's no money in there!!!

Now in the grand scheme of things I'll still owe them the same amount of money but it just means my overdraft is higher than it was!

Rant over... Sorry it just annoyed me a little today! Other than that everything seems to be going okay - although some creditors have not contacted me to advise how to make token payments - should I ring them?

    speak soon.

    hi all
Rayday2 i am sure you daughter will be fine she will probably choose nice friends and get in with a good crowd at high school.
Some of the girls from daughters old primary school are terrible they have started smoking/drinking and they are only 12, they tried to bully my daughter and friends when they first started high school but my daughter stuck up for herself and also reported this to head of year and luckily it stopped.

The bite i have is is now red and has a swollen white ring around it and the size of 50p piece, i will have to get some cream tomm, just took some piriton just in case. My dad rang earlier and he has 4 bites as well, he said its is because we are good meat!!!(lol)

In answer to token payments being sent to creditors i sent them with the notification of dmp from cccs, I just sent a cheque for £5.00, all the creditors cashed them.
    good luck with your dmp
    bye all for now.

itsnowtime - I have dealt with Blair Oliver & Scott for years they are pretty good should not give you any hassles, in fact its been well over a year since they contacted me they just let me keep paying by standing order no hassles just have to get through the initial first offers etc.

bows25 - She is pretty sensible at the moment and quite bright so I am hoping she keeps her nose clean - time will tell!

News with ex finally the nurses have worked out not to let morphine run out! The doctors had a go at them yesterday as he was in so much pain that they were considering putting him back on HDU. He had another operation yesterday to re-do some work on his arm and tinkered with his pelvis. His mum goes on holiday next week so I am official visitor. Our eldest daughter has started writing a diary about him getting better and not good thoughts about the other driver! I guess its therapy!
  • Hi all

I haven't posted on here for aaaages now but just thought I'd say Hi.... hope everyone is doing ok .... and ask a quick Q.

I've had my dmp with payplan since January .... all but one of my creditors (virgin finance, who I believe are HSBC??) have agreed to the plan which is good.

Halifax, who HAVE accepted the offer are still charging me interest ...(although have only just had a letter saying that if I dont pay up they will DEFAULT so maybe they will stop interest then) ....... whereas Virgin who HAVEN'T accepted the offer have stopped the interest and all charges.

They have said that they are going to pass on my debt to a Debt Agency but I still haven't heard from them. I got a letter a couple of months ago saying that I should hear from the Debt Agency in 10 days but still nothing ....... I spoke to Payplan and they said to just hang tight and wait for them to contact me.

Has anyone else experienced similar waiting times ... I'm still making the payments to Virgin but I just thought it was odd that it's taking so long.

    Cheers

It took from the June last year till about Jan/Feb time I think for Lloyds Bank Account to accept they were charging me interest all the time.

In the end I made a formal complaint and that seemed to do the trick, got some interest back, a case of wine and an accepted payment for a year.
