Hi Tayforth :hello:
Thanks for posting, it's lovely to hear that life is going well for you and that you are happy :T
I've thought about you and re-read bits of this thread for inspiration over the last couple of months. After over 24 years together (and over 23 years of marriage), my husband decided, out of the blue, that he wasn't happy and left, in January.
I've been trying to focus on the positive aspects of my new life, rather than dwelling on things that are beyond my control. He made his decision and I have to learn to live with it.
There are many posts on this thread that have struck a chord with me. It's helped alot to read about the experiences of others who have come out the other side of this, strong and happy.
And, as your signature says, I can't regret something that once made me smile and gave me an amazing, beautiful daughter.
I wish you all the best, and hope that your future only brings you happiness2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

((((Hugs)))) jackieblack, I'm so sorry to hear that. What a terrible shock you must have had after being together for so many years. It's still very early days for you, and I'm truly impressed that you're being so positive even at this stage. You're right, of course - things will get better. But be kind to yourself while you're still in shock.
It's great to hear that the wonderful posters on this thread were of help to you. Was there anything in particular that jumped out at you from the collected wisdom?
I hope you have good friends who will help you through this. And (of course) feel free to talk about it on here or PM me.Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
