Tay, I haven't been on here for absolutely ages but it was so great to catch up on your thread. Hope it's all going well with the new man!
Isn't it great how good life can turn out to be?

I'm in the throes of the divorce process now. Took a bit of ironing out finance wise, but well on its way now. I'm buying my ex out the house and the mortgage is currently going through. And I have a new man too! Had been on a few different dates, all nice men but nothing special. Then a nice guy contacted me online two months ago, only recently separated and just looking for someone to chat to, so there I was thinking I was just getting myself a new friend. Two months, lots of dates and a whole lot of snogging later (!) I'm really happy! Neither of us want this to be anything major, just liking and dates, so it suits us both. Fun, fun, fun!

According to a separate thread, no there wasn't, and Tayforth has been MIA ever since.

    Hope she's ok

That's a shame. Happy ending stories are much nicer.
  • She posted last week on the thread started by the user called sad.
  • Tayforth, I have read this entire thread over the past couple of days and you have inspired me to create my own thread. Reading your story has helped me and I want to thank you for that.

I am so incredibly happy that things have worked out for you :)

    Hi everyone

It's been almost 2 years since I started this thread, so I thought I'd update you (if anyone's interested!).

I had a hard time of it for a couple of months last year, but I'm pleased to say that, after taking some time out, I got over it and actually ended up having a really good summer. Things have been great at work, I've continued putting my energies into my friends and social life, and I've decluttered and reorganised my house to the point where I really love it. I'm very content.

And then... what should happen in the midst of all this contentment? I met someone lovely :) It was very unexpected.

We started off as friends, having met at a social event in the summer. I'm glad we did, because (despite the fact that he's very attractive) I wasn't ready to go out with anyone else at that stage. After a couple of months, I realised to my surprise that I liked him as more than just a friend. Happily, he had the same realisation and told me so. :)

We've been taking things very slowly, but we've been together for several months now and he's really lovely. I'm scared of being hurt again, but life is full of risk, I suppose.

Anyway. Enough about me. I hope you're all well xxx
