As my mum says, a woman needs to have her secrets. It's Tayforth's decision but I would be happier to see her skip off into the sunset with her new chap on her arm and a smile in her eyes...and leave us wondering who she was.

This year of her life that she has shared with us has been a story of self-discovery and redemption and I think that she deserves to be allowed to guard her privacy - but that's just my opinion!

Of course she's allowed, of course its her decision, I would not suggest otherwise.

I'll post properly tomorrow (I'm at a conference for work today). But I didn't want to let today go by without saying that it's been exactly a year since I finally did it

I cannot believe it's been a year! To read your posts now its like 12 month ago Tayforth never existed! Here is to an even more exciting 12 months! xx

Thank you carolbee. No, the ex hasn't been in touch at all since last summer, thank goodness.

Thank you, jenhug I was a shadow 12 months ago, now I'm back to my old self! And I'm excited about what the future might bring

Thanks very much, mcja. I am so humbled when anyone says that I've inspired them. I've been inspired in turn by so many people on here who've shared their stories and their wisdom. :A

So pleased to hear things are going well for you Tayforth. This thread also inspired me and was one of the things that inspired me to finish with my ex. Funnily enough, that is also nearly a year ago! I am happily celibate for now, but who knows what the future holds. Like you, Tayforth, I am no longer a shadow of myself :-)
