Thanks, all of you. You're so kind.
So, I'm getting on ok. I'm going to start counselling properly soon. I need to talk through my feelings now that I have some perspective.
I've been trying my best to make social plans so that I'm not just staying in every night.I went to stay with a friend at the weekend, which was wonderful. We had a real laugh. She's been incredibly supportive throughout the last 6-7 months, I'm very grateful to her (and I know her through MSE, so if she reads this she'll know who she is!). :A
On Monday, I went to the pub with a colleague on the spur of the moment. This evening, I'm meeting a group of friends for a few drinks.
I have a night out planned on Friday and an afternoon class with yet another friend on Sunday. No plans for Saturday, looks like I'm going to be spending it on my own! I'm dreading having a Saturday night in alone, tbh. What is it about Saturday?? Lol. But I'll manage. I'm enjoying being sociable again.
How is everyone? xxLife is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

Thanks, MMM!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I had a wonderful weekend with good friends, and I've been busy at work (which is going fine). I'm still taking the odd sleeping tablet, but at least I'm getting some sleep, so I can cope with whatever the day throws at me.
I'm continuing to declutter bit by bit, my house is starting to look so much better. I have more space, it's lovely.
The other day, I decided to start tackling the wedding stuff. I've got so many wedding keepsakes and I need to begin to deal with it all. I don't really want any reminder of the wedding. The only exception is that I can't bring myself to throw away the cards from loved ones, so I'll keep those for now.- All the spare invitations, ceremony leaflets, menus etc have gone in the bin.
- My shoes are going to the charity shop, since they're almost as good as new.
- I'm going to sell my dress - but not sure how to go about it, any tips???

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you! I made a lovely discovery the other day - I was turning the spare bed mattress and found an envelope under it containing cash gifts from the wedding day, which I had hidden just before we went on honeymoon and forgotten about. The cards were kept separately, so I don't know who gave it.
I'd given it up as lost, but lo - there it was! What a wonderful surprise.
Now, I know that it's not really fair to keep it all for myself, but my ex *did* take our car... so I'm going to treat my mum with some of it and keep the rest.
ETA: I hid it in case we were burgled while on honeymoon, I didn't hide it from my ex! He knew that I was hiding it. Just to clarify!Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

Thank you both. It was a lovely thing to happen, I'm so grateful.I'll be visiting my mum this weekend, so I'll take her out to dinner to celebrate, might buy her a bottle of her favourite Chanel perfume too as a surprise. I'll make a donation to the Samaritans as well. :A
