I only really use FB as an email account, I rarely post a status unless it's a Happy Christmas, birthday, new year one, etc., I use to use it quite a lot, perhaps in some ways because it was a new way of interacting with others instantly and because I don't live near family I'd put pics, etc., up for them to see. But now I really don't bother, I find it boring, I don't need to know what someone had for their tea or some attention seeking status where they put something cryptic and everyone replies with "what's wrong" and they don't answer.
It's got some great points to it and it's very handy at times to get hold pf someone quickly esp if you have the phone app but I'm amazed by what private stuff people will actually put for a status and how many problems it causes! Nowadays everyone seems to know what's happened in someone's life because of Fb and that's not always a great thing!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -

I used to have notifications but it drove me nuts, even after I pared it right down, and now I don't even have the app - I just access it from the browser on my phone, as I do MSE 90% of the time.
Having it available does make us more likely to have a quick check when killing time, I think...
I'd probably only look every few days if I didn't have a smart phone.0 -
I use FB mainly for playing a couple of games, candy crush is my favourite at the moment, but I switch all the time when I get bored, the only status updates I put on now are usually funny jokes that I have come across elsewhere.
I have one person who likes to go into great detail about her latest 'male friend' and then more detail, it is enough to make your hair curl. The one thing that I don't think she realises though, is that both her older teenage son and younger teenage daughter are on her friends list and so see all of these inappropriate messages (all the time) It is bad enough that us adults have to see it, along with her dressed up in some awful fishnet stockings and short skirt outfit, pouting for the camera, but her kids see it too.Been here for a long time and don't often post

I would love to get into Twitter, my kids are into it but although ive tried i get lost if i add more than one person. Ive deleted more accounts than i care to admit to. I really ought to persevere but i really cant be arsed.:(This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
ha! I started a Twitter account, followed their 'instructions' and followed about 15 people from groups they recommended. I then received an email maybe 30 minutes later? saying my account was suspended because I was 'aggressively following' people. What?!
And I never got to make one tweet. I think I'll stick to actually talking to people.0 -

Twitter is great, I'd ditch fb over twitter any day! I love the randomness of it and how a reply can come from anywhere. I've got to know some really fantastic people on twitter that I've got to know really well and become great friends with. But it's great for help, info, updates on bands etc., that you might like. It took a while for me to get into it but one day it just clicked!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0

I've viewed my kids' twitter accounts and keep losing track of who's talking. None of it makes any sense to me. I just don;t really see the point - how do people get anything done if they're twittering all the time? "Look at me. I'm doing this, I'm doing that" Ken what? Just bloody do it and stop twittering about it!! Workplace productivity must have dropped drastically since its invention. I don't know about anybody else but I barely have time to go the loo never mind type about it.

Ok confession time
I use facebook and tend to post a lot of jokey/sentimental pics. I'm not concerned about whether my friends 'like' them or not, however it REALLY gets my goat if someone 'shares' them without 'liking' them. That's just rude  I've deleted people who did it regularly, but came a bit unstuck when my own sister did it :rotfl: That put me in a real predicament!!
I know it's ridiculously childish, but I just can't help itSome people see the glass half full, others see the glass half empty - the enlightened are simply grateful to have a glass0
