    Which is what I do:

    Please don't bump the threads

I still don't think you understand what the true meaning of 'bumping for the sake of it is'. This is a forum...
An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages.
If people want to chat about the competition then I believe they should be free to. Sometimes there are comps that provoke conversation - why should that not be allowed? If the reply to the thread is not relevant or not necessary then that's a different matter, but members of this forum should not fear being able to comment on a post in case they get told off for bumping.

Bumping is purely as I described in my previous post ....when some one adds to the post SIMPLY for the purpose of making the thread go to the front page of the boards.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

The Board Guides don't seem to agree with you though. I've often seen Dalkirst telling people not to bump.

If anything it encourages people to comment further, especially considering the current debate we're all having about bumping.

The consensus is, yes bumping is annoying. But from what I can gather a lot of people on here find 'bumping to tell people not to bump' equally as annoying and, ultimately fruitless.

He actually used to do it like me, catch people as they post the first bump. He is now busy with other duty's on the comp boards

I have chosen to start to do this as it affects my comping

No because if people get fed up of me posting don't bump they are more likely not to to bump so I don't have to say it & they don't have to read it :D

It's still here....wonder if it will stay....

I just dragged the pic onto my browsers toolbar , then clicked to reveal the photobucket URL.

Can't quite understand why it was removed from the smily list.
