Hi all,
haven't been around for a few days. ((((HUGS))) to Queenie, hope you got it all sorted. I wanted to keep chooks, but know I'd be like you!:A
We've got SATS with year 6 this week. Poor kids, they're so stressed and worried. Our school is putting on breakfast for them all, to feed the minds and give them a chance to calm down. Today's was the longest. writing and spelling. It's awful that you can't help at all, one of mine in the splling test had to spell "Proud" he wrote "prood" then "proud" then crossed it out and wrote "Prowd"! And I couldn't say "NOOOOOOO put it back to the other one!" I hate SATS, they are a waste of time if you ask me, but if you get a bad result, in come OFSTED! ARGH!
Anyway, rant over. Not feeling quite right tomight, legs are buzzing, and feeling tired, hope I'm not going in for another relapse.
Have a good evening all.:beer:I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good Afternoon
(((Queenie)))
Anniebooklover - thanks for the advice - unfortunately it didnt work - think she has a mental block and has made up her mind that she wont be able to take it. Phoned Docs to see if they could swap if for the liquid & the receptionist said would get the Doc to call back - she wasnt happy though. He hasnt called back yet & hope it does soon as really need to get the medicine going.
Its soo hard work being her mother sometimes, feel bad for saying it but DS is so easy to lookafter. DD has also now refused to wear her twin blocks brace - Ive given up nagging about it and have told her fine and that I will cancel the orthodontist appointment and she need never wear it again - see if reverse physcology (sp) works.
Anyway enough moaning, need to go & sort dinner - cant get in the kitchen at the moment to cook sausages so will have to have a rethink.
Have a lovely evening.0 -
Hello All
catowen - glad the hospital went well
mrs-mix - hope DD recover's soon again from her tonsilitus
Happy belated Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Haribo, hope you both had a nice day
Queenie - so sorry ref your news about the chook! (((Hugs)))
Annibooklover - hope dd is better soon! I would be inclined also to return the books, thats a cheek expecting you to pay for p&p when it should have been free. Stick to your guns.
CPL visit went well, lady was here for 5mins, asked a few ?'s. and never went as far as the kitchen. We can collect Charlie on saturday. :j
Got my photo's for the passport today - I look like Moira Hindley! or Scary Mary! Take your pic! (pardon the pun) lol. Will get my head around filling the forms in soon.
I was hoping to watch a film later, but Im so tired, I could go to bed now!
Bye for now

Less welcome was the PM pointing out that she "is only a cat and seems to be costing you money that you can seemingly ill afford to spend"
That's awful! Shows that the PMer has no empathy or understanding that, to many (most?) animal lovers, there is no such thing as "only a cat".0 -
anniestar that is awful that someone would say that to you, to me a cat is a part of the family, on the other hand take my dh who plainly says it is only a animal!! hugs to you
twink
Feeling really tired today, dont know why, one of those days i think, got an invite to a wedding reception today, only prob is its in essex, dh's cousin, they are getting wed in hawaii, no way could we manage that, starts at 7pm!
Hugs

anniestar cant believe the cheek of some people ref the your cat, how awfull. I think I would have found it hard to reply in a reasonable manner. Being a cat lover myself, that comment would have got my back up also.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Thanks everyone for the good wishes for DD. She is VERY grumpy today - the SATs seem to be taking it out of her as well as this middle-ear problem. I think a very early night is needed - and some tlc of course.
Essex-girl sorry it didn't work. It did take a few attempts with DD before she got used to doing it. hope your GP was able to prescribe a liquid form for your DD and she improves soon.
anniestar sorry someone felt the need to PM you in such a way. There have been one or two of these recently. Most unlike the OS board. I'm not a fan of cats tbh (I'm allergic to them) but I can understand why people get so attached to their pets. We did have a cat for a few years and he was a part of the family.
Crazychik I posted earlier to say that Amazon have agreed to refund the p&p costs as a "goodwill gesture". I know they got it wrong but I'll take the refund and keep the package when it comes.
I don't remember spending so much time on MSE as I have today. I really must get out more.xx
