OS Daily thread 15th May 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 15/05/2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as wel
Morning. Still raining. The only good thing about it, IT's PAY DAY! Not that it means much anymore as I can't go out and blow it all...
I managed to tidy my son's room yesterday. Sort of a dad thing. What a mess... I found all the missing pack lunch boxed complete with 2 stale sandwiches. I knew his room smelled, but I thought that was his feet!
I wired up my old laptop to the ethernet, so he is happy to have broadband in his room.
Well off to work soon. I have to go to Exeter today, so a long old day really. hope you all have a nice one yourselves.

Hi N9eav! Good morning to you and all who follow.
Weather a bit dull again today so can't tell yet what kind of day it will be.
The 'smelly-boy's-bedroom' phase does pass, N9EAV - when they leave home!
Well, have just looked at my emails and a book I listed less than twelve hours ago on Amazon has just sold! My second one this week! My first sale encouraged me and I had a real trawl through all my books and I think I have nearly 40 listed now!
Need to get DH up with his usual morning cuppa - he's leaving early for work this morning because he also has to take an hour off for the dentist; then I'll grab a shower, put the WM and BM on and get breakfast ready. Need to tackle the huge pile of ironing that I've been ignoring for days and finish clearing out my office.
Will call in again later - must go now, I can hear his lordship getting up! Have a great day!

Good morning everyone,
N9eav - once found about 2 weeks worth of DSs sandwiches in his room, was not pleasant!!!!
Well, ive woken up with a really bad headache, so not feeling good at the mo. Have to drop all the children off to school/nursery and then head to the hospital - i do hope the traffic isnt bad and i can find somewhere to park. Hopefully the parking charges wont've gone up, last time i went it was £2.30 for up to 4 hours, it amazes me they can get away with charging so much at a hospital (and dont get me started with those by the bed tv and phone charges!!!). Im hoping to be in and out quite quickly (although i havnt seen my consultant for 4 months now, so might have a few things to chat about) as i would like to go to Morrisons and Tescos before i have to collect the LO.
Last night was DSs official presentation (the one at the Guild Hall) so he was re presented with his most improved player trophy, and also received a club medal for his 'years work'. We then went back to the footbal club for a drink (a soft one, as i was driving) and a chat, which was really good, mind you, didnt get home till 9.30 and i was stinking of smoke (roll on 1st July) so i popped into the shower and then went to bed - although i was still reading my book (chicken soup for the soul) at 11.
Right, really need to get off before LO gets here - yesterday went really well with the new one, much better than i had expected, and he is back tomorrow.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning everyone
When I got up it was just drizzling, but now it is absolutely pouring and I have to take the dog out in a few minutes
Was going to the allotment, but will have to find indoors things to do today, but I have some free yeast from Asda, so will make a loaf. I have some soup made from the chicken carcass, so if I can sort out the grease problem, that is lunch.
Hope everyone has a good day, despite the awful weather xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Good Morning
Will the rain ever stop? As a gardener I was really pleased to see it - the grass was parched and I was spending most of my time at the allotment watering rather than digging and planting. Asa a mum to 5, I am now inundated with washing!!
I have to spend some time today going through a load of stuff that I have thrown in a 'to sell' box as I'm decluttering the bedroom. I have several items left over from when I had an EBAY shop....I chose to sell an item that I just love but ended up keeping too many as I couldn't bring myself to part with them as they were a rare colour / design!! I have been thinking about getting some more stock in to sell recently, so I really should get rid of these first!
This morning I'm Flying (as in Flylady), and this afternoon the kids are swimming with the home ed group. BM is on, not sure what to do over washing as I really am running out of places to dry it!!
Have a good day, hugs to all who need / want them.0
