Churchmouse must be really enjoying her DH retirement. :D I haven't noticed her around lately. I expect she's up to no good.

Aussie:naughty: How many times must I tell you, DH says I'm good!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Been really busy lately, but have been reading as much as possible. Just by the time I get to the end of the thread there's so much whizzing around in my brain, I can't post for fear of forgetting anyone!:D Also although I've been busy it's not been especially interesting for other's to read about:o Lots of Church stuff, a big plant sale and our Church Anniversary lunch.

Plus DH is keeping me busy. We're doing various projects together, love having him at home!:D

Off to the nursery to get some plants for the garden in a mo, so I'll say goodbye and leave a stack of hugs. Help yourself to either a well-done, so sorry, or just nice to see you one! (((((((hugs)))))))

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Haribo!!! Maybe not Paris, but I'm sure he'll be indulging you sometime today!

    Morning to all and sundry.

Haven't been around much lately as we've had central heating fitted (free with a grant due to OH's benefits) and the office has been a complete mess. Only managed to dig computer out yesterday.

W**k today, which I could do without. Have had a bad head since last Thursday, and bad guts too, so don't really want to do anything. (And at the weekend I didn't. Just sat and watched DVD's.)

OH is at the allotment today, so at least I know that when I get home the house won't look any worse than when I left it.

Hugs to anyone who wants one,

    Metherer

anniebookerlover the same thing happened to me with Amazon I didnt realise at first picked it up on credit bill later I was fuming but didnt get anywhere as it was too late I had already opened item otherwise I would have sent it back.

Hi patentgirl I must admit it was beginning to wind me up. So I have just sent an e-mail to Amazon telling them that as they were responsible for the alterations to the order and at no time did they tell me BEFORE the order was dispatched that I would have to pay a delivery charge, can they please remove it from my account. I'm not hopeful but if they don't remove it, I will return the whole lot unopened within the cooling off period. I think I have probably had it with Amazon now.

HariboJunkie happy anniversary. You know it's ok to spoil yourself if your OH wont. ;)

Queenie love the idea of the strawberry fool. I may need to nip out and buy some double cream. Just need to remind myself not to buy anything else unnecessary.

kyle thanks for the good wishes re DD's ears. They aren't actually sore, she just has dull hearing. She has ephedrine nose drops to try and clear the fluid but they seem to be irritating her nose. Not sure what to do - it seems to be worst when I just apply them then it settles down after a while.

Aussie I've come to the conclusion that you have probably seen more of the UK than any of us who actually live here. How are you recording all your memories of the places you visit? Some of them sound fantastic.

Right. Off to buy that double cream now. cheery-weery. xx

    Good morning everyone :)
Going to try and go onto campus today and not spend much! Need to send some shoes back recorded delivery - get this, I ordered some shoes off Office in their sale, they arrived yesterday and they had sent me two left shoes! I mean, come on! So I rang them and I need to send them back using recorded delivery, which will cost me a bit which I'm annoyed about.

    Morning :hello:

Haven't been in the office since Wednesday and thanks to a very sick computer, have been unable to post. Apologies to Ticklemouse especially, I know I promised to be available on MSN for a chat but that hasn't been possible thanks to my IT problems.

Came back to a crisis at work: I trusted somebody with the one element of my job that's really important, and they failed to deliver

Anyway, Paris was fun :) We saw a show at the Opera-Bastille (the main reason we went) and went sightseeing including going all the way up the Eiffel Tower. I think we will be going back next year as there is another opera we want to see, and it happens to coincide exactly with my 30th birthday. Eurostar was sooooo easy, I can't believe I'd never got around to going on it before - it won't be quite as handy for me once the London terminal has moved to St Pancras, as Waterloo is only 20 mins from me on the bus.

On Saturday my cousin came round for lunch, and in the evening I went to a Eurovision party :D I thought the Serbian song was awful and Ukraine should have won.

On Sunday I went out for lunch with the church choir - an annual event hosted by our lovely churchwarden. What with three substantial courses, plus aperitif, wine, liqueurs and coffee, it completely wiped me out for the rest of the day - and, if I'm honest, the next day too! I had to go to a very dull all-day meeting yesterday ad could barely stay awake :o

Hope everybody is well, I haven't had a chance to catch up with posts from the last few days. Not doing much OS this week: I am still waiting for a working fridge before I next do a "big shop" so am running the freezer down. They wanted to bring the new FF tomorrow but I can't take the day off, so as I am off all next week on a much-needed "at-home holiday" I have rescheduled the delivery for Monday. I'll use up all my "ready-made" stuff (HM soups mainly) for lunches, and then at the weekend I will work out what "basics" (yellow-stickered meat) are left, so I can plan some meals to be cooking and cooling while new fridge freezer is settling in, and freeze them in portions when the new freezer is cooled, IYSWIM.

I'm also going to have to dismantle all the bookshelves from my hallway temporarily, so the fridge men can get through

More later, I'm sure :D It's good to be back!

    Rzl xx

    Morning All

Sun shone for about half and hour earlier so washing is out but has now gone very dark - fingers x'd.

Started off well this morning but a bit downhill now. Am in office doing paperwork but waiting for OH to get up so he can let builder in so I can shoot to another village to pay some cash into business account so can pay the wages today. Cashflow is all over the place as our main client has changed the way we are paid.

DD is on some antibiotics but they are not her normal capsules and she is struggling to swallow them - anyone got any tips - its making our lives a nightmare 3 times a day.

Have got some sausages out of the freezer for tonight but builder is here until everything is finished so gawd only knows what time that will be. DS has got footie practice but his friends dad is taking him.

Best get off now - loads to do.

Haribo - Happy Anniversay - hope you have a lovely day.

((((hugs)))) to anyone who needs one.

    Morning all!!

Hope you're well, I've awoken to an almost empty fridge, and I only went shopping on Saturday!! OH is giving up smoking and eating me out of house and home!! I guess I shouldn't complain, as he's already smoking a quarter of what he was just over a week ago, infact, I can't remember him even having a ciggie yesterday, so is doing well! He's doing it the cutting down way, as his GP suggested.

Looks like i'll be doing more baking and cooking today! Am going to cook pizza for lunch as know he'll be super famished when he gets in from work in about an hours time (starts worjk at 5am), make weetabix brownies and make sure there is chicken defrosting for tonights dinner... I'll prob make a bowl of popcorn too and make some cookies and scones.... yes, he's that hungry!

Going to try and get some housework and errands done today as have no supply today, don't want to push myself too much as I've still not been feeling well these past few days! The washing needs airing, so am of to hang that now!!

Who else has super grotty weather today?

*Hugs* to those who need them
    and
Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs Haribo!

    Good morning.
It's not like me post post so early but I'm not in a 'busy' mood today. I just can't get motivated and I slept like a log last night but I'm shattered. I need an energy pill or a tonic to get me going again! I think the stress from w*** from last week is still with me but I need to get back on track with everything else.
So my plans for today include doing some work for school, re-calculating our finances and making a shepherd's pie for tea. Then later on I've got to go to a meeting at church and try not to fall asleep during it!
    Have a good day!
