crazychik I checked the website and I have 7 days from the date of delivery to return any items to Amazon and they will refund everything. I think I will do that. Some of the items they are delivering were only bought to bring the total to £15 (a couple of £1 books). I feel they are ripping me off. The last three orders I have placed with them have been amended in some way so I am beginning to wonder how seriously they take customer service.
Reverie thanks for the Calvin and Hobbes link yesterday. I had a quick look and it was a strip that I hadn't seen before. :j So, I'm going to go back and add it to my favourites today.
jet I'm sure your DD will be fine. It's hard though, isn't it? As Queenie said, at least you know everyone has been CRB cleared and at her age the ratio of adults to children will be very good.
Haven't had anything to eat yet (that may be why my blood sugar was 8.1 this morning. ). Got carried away shredding, tidying up, sorting out papers, etc. Really must go and have something though. Starting to feel woozy."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

I think my boss is the most understanding boss in the whole world - I started there a year ago and worked until Dec and then was off on full pay until April - they then put me on a staggered return for 3 weeks and then I had 2 weeks off to cover school holidays and then went back properly for 2 weeks and then have been off again. I said that I would do my best to come in 2moro (even tho my IBS is bad again) and she said don't worry about it u just look after urself!! Hugs to Lynz
Sorry to those for whom it's raining but the sun is out in all it's glory here.
Second load is on the line and house is swished so I plan to spend the day in the garden. :j All the seedlings are through so i need to do some thinning out and general tidying up. Must finish the ironing at some point though.
Tea will be chicken something.Haven't thought that far ahead yet.
Today is our 7th wedding anniversary but OH hasn't even got out of bed yet so I don't think I'm being whisked to Paris or anything.
it's also my nephew's first birthday but he lives in Tasmania and I haven't even met him yet.
Nothing much else hapening but I hope you all have a great day.

Here's another super easy oneOrange Ice Cream (Serves 4)
300ml - 1/2 pint double cream, whipped
300ml - 1/2 pint orange juice
50g - 2oz caster sugar
Put the cream in a bowl, add half the OJ and stir until evenly blended.
Stir in the remaining OJ, a little at a time.
Fold in the sugar.
To Freeze: spoon the mixture into a rigid container, cover and freeze for about 1 hour. Stir it well, then, seal, label and return to freezer.
To Thaw & Serve: transfer to the fridge for 15mins until softened slightly.
What I love about those recipes ... I snap up the cartons of double cream when they are on the reduced counter just so I can make them :rotfl: :rotfl:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
