    Good afternoon everyone,

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Haribo!!!

Still have my headache, but hospital visit went really well - my level was 90, which i was really happy about, but my consultant didnt seem as excited as me - apparently they have new machines which are more accurate, so although its showing a higher figure, it doesnt mean that my levels are that high  compared to before. Well, i dont understand, i dont have to go back for another 4 months unless i have any problems (i can go up without an appointment and i will be seen immediatly) so im not going to worry about it. What did upset me was my weight, they always weigh you before you see the consultant, and i was shocked how heavy i was. So today im going to stuff myself - and tomorrow im def going on a diet!!! Its bad enough not being able to wear shorts/short skirts cos of my bruising, i dont want to have to stop wearing my summer tops because of my weight!!!
Popped into Morrisons and Tescos on the way back, before collecting LO, and spent about £37 - so not too bad, im hopeing not to have to buy anything else this week now - my mum is coming at the weekend, so she might bring a food parcel (she often does) so im might hint that i forgot to buy DSs green apples, and maybe she will get the hint!!! If i go into the shop just for apples, i always come out with more so if i can stay away, all the better for my purse!!!

Right, need to do some flying before LO wakes up!!
Have a lovely afternoon, ((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Busy day so far. Have sorted out the recycling, been to supermarket and Queenie's Strawberry Fool is now chilling in the fridge (smells and looks scrumptious). Have also made fajitas for DS's dinner tonight - DD and I will be using up the leftover sausages from the weekend. Also made a bacon and mushroom sauce for tomorrow as I picked up two packs of Morrison's chicken and bacon tortellini which were in the reduced section. DD is not mad about pasta but does like this tortellini so its yet another meal that I can add to her list of likes. :j The trail of destruction left by DS is now confined to his room so he will be a busy lad this pm.

kyle I agree with you, the north of Scotland is stunning. I have only been as far as Inverness but there is something hauntingly beautiful about the highlands. I haven't been to any of the islands (well, if you include Arran and Bute then I have.) I would love to be able to afford to spend a few weeks just traipsing round the highlands and islands. Then again, there are so many places in the world that I would love to see that I would have to have a Euromillions jackpot to do it all.

mrs mix hope your DS and DD are better soon. ((hugs))

Essex-girl my DD is not great at swallowing tablets or capsules. She now pops the capsule in her mouth, takes a big mouthful of water, holds her nose, tilts her head back and swallows. With any luck, the capsule goes back with the water. (She holds her nose as then she has to swallow to be able to breathe - is that cruel? :D)

slowlyfading have you tried selling your new shoes to a very bad dancer?? (two left feet, get it? :D )

I have 10 pages of a book to read before it has to go back to the library this weekend so I'm off to make some tea and finish it now. xx

I had ordered - or rather pre ordered a book from Amazon months ago when i got an e mail saying that the book had been delayed!

I went to play.com and was amazed to find the book I wanted a bit cheaper than Amazon and with free delivery.

I ordered it last week and it arrived in about 3 or four days!

I think in future I will try both play.com and Amazon and check prices when I want a book, dvd or cd.

    Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them.
OS today has been a light load [found the small person was down to his last pair of school socks:eek: ] and the bathroom has been degrimed. Tonight I've got a friend coming over for a cuppa but am going to have to do my ironing at the same time as am still catching up from my busy weekend.
Dad was really chuffed with his cake and walking related pressies. We roadtested the HM mustard with our bangers and it was quite yummy:D
Nothing much else racy to report I'm afraid folks as am just trying to regain lost ground. Have however, got my Mum coming up tomorrow night for our monthly craft evening so shall get started on my next project...I've just rediscovered a cross stitch kit I was bought as a pressie 10 years ago which has a woman on it and a cat and a husband hanging off one arm and a baby in the other and numerous baskets of shopping, piles of ironing at her feet etc. It can feel a bit like that sometimes can't it!! Anyway I think it'll look fab framed and hung on the kitchen door when it's done!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Hello!

Just looking in to see how you all are (((Hugs))) to Lynz and anyone else who needs a hug.

I am meant to be resting but sneaked the laptop in with me!;)

We took dd shopping as she will be on her way home soon (we have another week so we can visit the relatives) and clothes are sooo cheap so she stocked up on abercrombie and fitch items in the clearance section and shoes in nine west outlet so one very happy dd:j As I am unhappy with the size I am at the moment I am finding it harder to buy some clothes even though I know it would make sense. Did buy a copy of Fast Food Nation though!

On Friday we visited Epcot using our pre booked park pass (much cheaper) and found Davy Jones (Monkees) was singing there! Just had to watch the show (twice:o :rotfl:) and he was just next to me at one point, OH got it all on video! So for those of you that remember the good ol days, join in if you remember the words! - "Cheer up sleepy Jean, Oh what can it mean to a day dream believer and a home coming queen":rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have a couple of giant cookie cutters now and more recipes so will be busy when I get home!

    Bye for now!

    Hi Guys!

Gosh...what a day! Been up the hospital most of the morning:rolleyes:

Washload has been done and put on airer...I was going to do this tomorrow as weather is supposed to be easing up and prefer clothes dried on the line, but OH put it on:cool: house is generally clean and tidy. Some ironing needs to be done and I have managed to complete a third of my essay:D

Anyway, speak to you guys later.

    Hugs

Day is going down hill for me, my chook is dying and I'm not hardened enough to be able to 'put her out of her misery'. I feel so stupid, I'm actually crying over a flippin chook! I know now that I'm not cut out for keeping chickens. She did seem a bit dozy this morning and I've been so busy with the housework and coursework for the first half of the day, but now it is plainly obvious that she's not going to perk up. Don't regret having her but no more liberating battery hens for me. That side of OS'ing is a case of BTDT but never again.

Sorry for the downer, but it's not something I can talk to the lads about.
