A small fact from somebody older .... a £35k car does NOT make your kn0b bigger, nor does it atttract girls (except the sort you don't want to be attracting).
Get something for half your 'deposit' and have a blast with it.0 -
On your wage I would never consider purchasing a car that expensive and the value would decrease alot after 4 years, but sometimes it does depend on the type of car.0

head turner
quick
reliable
goes around corners well
powerful engine with possibly, a great sound?
You'll be crucified on insurance whatever you go for so if I was in your shoes I would look for a standard Impreza WRX from 2003 to 2006. Forget the perceived image of baseball caps and subs, they are wonderful cars and very reliable. Either that or perhaps a EP3 Civic Type-R? Both can be had for well under your budget and will cost pittance to run.
Or perhaps something very rare and a bit of a sleeper like a RenaultSport Clio Trophy?0 -
Oh dear just caught up with the thread.
A Class MB a head turner? I'm lost for words and that happens not often.
If you want a fast MB with a proper AMG engine worthy of the covetted genuine badge it has to drive the correct wheels, find yourself a C32 AMG or an early C55, the C32 is virtually as quick but won't have the V8 rumble.
Either will have kudos among car enthusiasts and exude quiet motoring class and provide pleasure in spades, something a FWD A class won't ever manage should you live to 100.
Its just another little hatch, could be any cloned eurobox.0 -
Watch out with that quote, is it based on a one off payment? I'm with admiral because they offered me a great deal but it was £300 more expensive to pay it off monthly!Hi. Good shout, my mate picked up an Mx5 for £500 at the weekend, I went to have a look and was amazed what he got for the money, no rust anywhere to be seen, folder full of receipts and old MOTs.
Legal tyres and 6 months ticket and great fun to drive albeit with not much ooomph, but who needs more than 25mph on a wet roundabout with a car shod with chinese ditchfinders
OP if your serious about a AMG Merc, check out the depreciation and the additional AMG tax that dealers charge. Or if its the model I am thinking of check out the BMW alternative, its !!!!!!! ugly but goes like the clappers and is cheaper especially on the awesome lease deals that Bmw are offering at the mo.0 -
Anyone thinking of throwing £7000 down the drain (VAT) is a damn fool.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
