How is a car that empties the bank account each month a hobby?
£2000 - £5000 on a track car, Thats a hobby and something you can do. You cant do that with a lease car because when you break it they will send you the bill.
Didnt a new member ask this very queation a couple of days ago? Same person me thinks.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
also because my brother did this but didn't really get much out it financially
No-one buys a classic car and does it up to make money. You do it because you love it. If you're not mechanically-minded, don't even think about starting a 'project' like that
How many ads do you see for "rare classic, fully restored, thousands spent, £1500 ono"? People sink money into classics; they rarely get anything out of it other than satisfaction. If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.0 -

How many 20 years old have lost "many good friends" to cancer? You are talking bollox mate, it was April Fools yesterday.
Your bollox and dam right rude.
I lost two close friends to cancer. One with bowel cancer and one who had a brain tumour.
I lost another friend in a car accident. Just because you don't live in the real world you think nothing is impossible. Nothing but a keyboard warrior.0 -
I would take up on that but my life is so busy plus one thing about cars, when you have to fix them up, you think that's it, but there's always something nasty hidden which can potentially cost £££ - ££££ to fix and just isn't worth it.
I would love to know more about cars though because I would love to do some of the easier/straightforward jobs myself.

goes around corners well
powerful engine with possibly, a great sound?
:rotfl:
I looked at the thread briefly and for what he's done, hats off to him! I will be looking more throughout that thread after work because i'm intrigued. However, I probably won't get involved into something like this due to the fact I really don't have the time for it, also because my brother did this but didn't really get much out it financially,
I don't know if he done it wrong, but he bought category write off cars, fixed them up with credit cards, made little profit or broke even at times.
Powerful engine, I should think so it's from a van. Not sure about the great sound.0 -
Your 10k would actually buy you something decent.
A Chrysler 300C (if you can afford to maintain it) or a MK4 Mondeo (although has some known turbo issues)0 -

I do not understand you regarding the £800 - 900 a month regarding the finance, I don't believe I will paying this much, other than 200 - 300 a month?
Even if you managed to get an interest free loan over 5 years your repayments would be £416.67 per month.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
