You are a joke, a total joke. No one on here likes or respects you, why dont you stay away from this forum. You are not capable of helping others and have nothing to say that anyone values.
What on earth has marisco done to you to get you so riled? I think you should share rather than flaming her every single time she posts. I've read some of your other threads and you don't seem a bad person so really. .. what the fcuk? So anyway marriage? Don't really see the point. I'm extremely happy in my relationship without feeling the need to get married. I've lost count of the amount of time I've been criticised for my views but in my opinion too many people get married for the party and the big show of it all and that's just as bad as me not wanting to get married! !0 -
Sorry, but I really don't agree with that it all. Imo you make a commitment in your heart and mind to stay with someone - if that's strong enough then you will work through all the cack that life throws at you, if it isn't then you'll break up and no piece of paper will change that.
That's what I used to believe, but statistics will tell you otherwise.
A marriage makes a relationship much more likely to last.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

I too have been subject to criticism for my views, I just don't feel the need to get married but I've heard people saying married life is hard and makes you stronger etc etc but I feel contented, secure and happy without it.
For me having a baby is a bigger commitment.0 -

Does it make it more likely to last or are married couples less likely to want to be a divorcee and actually admit its not working.
If you've tried and it still doesn't work there is no shame married or not to call things to an end imo.0 -
When to get married
When you are both ready - I got married at 31 and we dated for 14 months. Lived together for 10 months out of the 14.
Why get married
We wanted to. There was no reason not to. We both agreed it was what we wanted and did it. Yes, it cost us lots of money and that was fine. We still have substantial savings even after buying a house
What is marriage
No idea! I have never really thought about what marriage is! We declare our love and commitment in various ways even when unmarried. We both didn't want children out of wedlock nor did we want to live together too long without getting married. Nothing has changed since getting married so I guess I still have no idea what it is.
Of course, all the other definitions apply to us too!
How does marriage change you, your life and relationship.
It has not changed anything. What has changed my life dramatically is being in a mixed race relationship. I have learnt the virtue of patience, not mumbling my words, taking care to explain things in detail. I have learnt to make new meals, interact in a different way from what I have always known, be a bit more assertive and lots more! The biggest change is that I have learnt a new language!0 -
When to get married?
We got married after being together 4 years.
Why get married?
Our (mine) main reason was us all having the same name as our son. He was 18 month when we married and when he started nursery I had it in my head I wanted all of us to have the same surname. Also it was the right stage in our relationship, we had our son, our home etc.
What is marriage?
It is showing our commitment to one another.
How does marriage change you, your life and relationship?
Having been married nearly 16 year and now having 3 children. I'm not sure what changed with marriage. We were already in a committed relationship with our son, mortgage, joint bank account etc. Saying that I love being married, I love having a husband who is also my best friend.
We lived together 2 1/2 year before marrying. I think the first year of living together was harder than getting married. Getting used to each others quirks!0 -

A marriage makes a relationship much more likely to last.
I think the amount of work put into the relationship makes it more likely to last and the attitude you go into it with. Personally I find a lot of people seem to want to get married just for the big party, the fancy dress etc and sadly there seems to be a correlation between the extravagence of the wedding and the time the marriage lasts - and not in a good way! Plus it would be rather hard to find statistics for how many non-married couples split up in order to make a genuine comparison?0 -

Said without a fragment of self-awareness...:rotfl:"There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0 -
When to get married?
We married as we were in love and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
Why get married?
To share your life with the man I love
What is marriage?
A life-long commitment with love and mutual respect.
How does marriage change you, your life and relationship?
Having someone else to think about and put before what you would want. Having someone to share the ups and downs of life.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

In my opinion there is one main reason for increasing divorce rates, too many people want a wedding... regardless of whether or not they want the marriage.
For me marriage is special, and really it should be to a life partner. You can have many partners, you can cohabit with many...marriage is saying 'this relationship is my no.1' and we're doing this life together.
I've not married yet, but I have to say if anything having a wedding is putting me off! I just know they'll be pressure to have 'traditions'...many of which seem silly money-makers to me. Do you know my friend paid £300 for a guy to come dressed as a chimney sweep, who continued to neck at least 10 flutes of champers and perve over any female guest in a 10m radius!0
