Welcome, all Newbies
Good luck with the new job, deus!0 -
Hi all and belated Happy Easter.
Frantic flying made house acceptable to my Mum (arrived Thurs) and BIL (arrived Fri but wouldn't notice dust anyway).
Social highlights of visitors: ballet "Alice in Wonderland" beamed in from Royal Opera house (fantastic); day out in London, saw Ansel Adams photographic exhibition, dinner in restaurant followed by theatre "Burn the Floor" (one of the Strictly shows - fantastic and physically impossible); church service on local cricket field "son-rise" on Easter Sunday at 5.30  and -4 degrees.
Culinary highlights: far too much chocolate; made yummy Easter cake; scones; various lovely main-meals-for-visitors with the challenge of 1 vegetarian; 1 no wheat or potato and 1 with diverticulitis.
Flying: lots of bird feeding and watching; Mum and I sowed lots of seeds in greenhouse; various helpful visitors making hoovering/washing up/tidying etc relatively painless.
Back to earth with a bump tomorrow as Mum goes home, then I have optician's appt. May squeeze zumba in between the 2 - I certainly need it. Had left it with work that if weather is good enough for gardening, I'll take Wed and Thurs off, but since then have had email from old friends getting together for lunch on Wed which is very tempting. Fly meeting in London also very tempting.
Oh well have caught up with most things, so hopefully will be able to do a few extras this week especially if I take week off (and don't spend it socialising..........).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
MWMW welcome, post a lot so we get to know you.
Ionafan - you are fab. I can see flying become even more depleted. Never mind it is cold, I don't have time to garden now this month anyhow :rotfl:
Trouble is now it is way past my bedtime, I'm hungry and my mind is spinning. Time to switch off have a little snack and chill out for 15 minutes. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Nicki, you seem to have got on top of things, so enjoy your Tigger-free time
I'm only on top of stuff as I did it all for my family coming yesterday:rotfl: I have paid stuff Wednesday, Thursday and will probably have errands to run Friday so if I'm lucky I might get Friday night, Saturday and Sunday free until she gets home. They're not landing until 6.30pm apparently! Then she's home for another week of the holidays where she has to do homework so no doubt there will be more excitement of what she's done on holiday, strops and general chaos.
Tuesday:
Write contacts in back of DDs passport
Luggage Label x2
HHI
WM x 2
Scrub DDs hair for her
Chase DD for a proper scrub bath
Get DD to hide her easter eggs so I can't be tempted while she's away :rotfl:
Give Ex both padlock keys for suitcase
Double check DD has got everything
Wave DD off approx 4pm
Approx 4.30pm go to Mr A and buy some wine, mince & pasta
Approx 6pm sit down and do NOTHING until bedtime:rotfl::rotfl:
I don't want to think about Wednesdays work, my brain hurts as it is.:( Off to play some games while I wait for my phone to finish charging, then its bedtime.

Good Morning ladies.
DH made a huge effort and got out of bed at 5.30 to catch his usual train to London. He has his ear op tomorrow so I must keep everything calm and tidy.
I'm working today because I'm driving DH to hospital tomorrow.
My TD is not very well. I am reluctant to buy a new one now as historically I stop using it mid April/September. The sun is shining, dare I put washing on the line? It's still so cold.
Time to get up. I need a cup of tea.0 -
Best pull my socks up really *sigh*
