2 hours of ironing has cleared the basket
    Dinner ate and dishes washed
    Kitchen swept and mopped
    Dry laundry sorted
    Clean sheets on bed

Bag packed for my first day at my new job tomorrow. Excited and nervous!:D

Mrsgibbs good to hear you're doing ok
skint sorry to hear about the car trouble

Tomorrow I am going out for a birthday meal after a full day at work so minimal flying is likely. I will see how I get on though because a good tidy, dust and hoover is needed in the living room, hall and stairs.

Thanks for the thread. I haven't made much progress with the list today, but I joined the 'no unnecessary toiletries' thread and have cleared out drawers and cupboards and its set a big declutter in motion. Hoping to be back to normal in a few days.

Off to bed, work tomorrow and want to make the most of an early start on the kitchen first.

Can I please jump in even tho im a day late!! Last week I actually managed to totally empty my ironing basket first time in yonks, and clean top to bottom in 2 hours flat, but after friends kids visits half term me in work today and a hangover I need to get back into a room a day and keeping things tidy..

My tumble caught fire about 4 weeks ago thankfully we were in the kitchen n removed the thing before any damage but I swore id never have another one and as we have limited space I finally had my first dishwasher WOW its changed our lives lol the kitchen is always tidy and we have to keep up with daily washing and dry with the weather its fab !! 2 days off from work now so can potter around for a few hours and hopefully out the garden..

Killer Kitchen - Monday April Fools Day
    Level One
    Clear and wipe work surfaces
    Level Two
    Sweep and Mop the floor
Wipe the cupboards, appliances and all those manky corners!!
    Level Three
    Defrost the freezer if needed!!
Wipe over all those small appliances.. don't forget the inside of the microwave!
Wipe out the icky parts of the fridge and have a quick check for what needs restocking.. I'm sure those of you who are parents have locusts off school!!
    Extras
Clean oven/hob if you really really want to.. *rolls eyes*
    HHI ..
    Clean windows and sills
    Treat the pets for fleas!!!
Go play a game with the children who have helped you today!!
    Childrens list.
    Clear and wipe the table
Load the dishwasher (DW) if you have one
Can you fill the washing machine (WM) with things that are all the same colour and switch it on?? This is a very important thing to learn.. many big clever daddies struggle with this job.. even our daddy.. so if you can do this.. you are cleverer than him!
If you are a bigger little person could you wipe over the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer/washing machine.. sometimes you need to check the insides too as they get a bit sticky..

Mad Tuesday - Living room, Hallway and Stairs
    Level One
Remove clutter from floors, chairs and fireplace
    Level Two
    Vacuum floors and sofas
Sort that under stair cupboard.. make sure evrything is in tidily rather than thrown from a great distance!
    Dust those flat fluffy surfaces
Are there any DVd's/Videos etc you can rehome?
    Level Three
Vacuum under the furniture you can move
Clean windows, pictures, mirrors and any other glass like things.
    Clear a hotspot
    Vacuum hall and stairs
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    Extras
Wipe woodwork in the hall and stairs
Wipe front door.. inside and out!
HHI.. get that mountain gone - or if it is too big then maybe make a huge dent in it!!!
I think the children who have been most helpful today should decide what you are having for dinner.. and that doesn't mean a takeaway.. we will consider that for the weekend if you are doing a fabulous job!!! Maybe if they are big enough they can help or better still cook for you!!
    Childrens list.
Sort out all the shoes.. make sure there are 2 of them all and put them nicely on the shelf or in the box. Encourage the person who has the most to get rid of a few pairs they never wear!
Oh.. I think you'll like this.. everyone gets a carrier bag.. and spends 5 mintues running all over the house putting rubbish in it.. not other peoples things just rubbish, scrappy papers, junk mail, used envelopes and things like that.. after 5 minutes we weigh all the bags and see who has the heaviest bag. The winner gets a treat (and so does everyone else!)
Pick up all your own things from the front room and put them away in their homes
Water any plants in the house.. I'm always forgetting.
If you are a bigger little person could you vacuum the floors once they are clear of stuff?

DD1 goes back to Uni tomorrow, so has squeezed 10 weeks of getting to know you time with DD4 into one week, DD2 is off with mates to Alton T0wers for a week, and DD3 is out with mates requiring cash for pier amusements and food and drink whilst out and about ;)
