Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all. I've had a relatively lazy day in a way, spending most of it on the computer.

After a lie-in, I let DD get her stuff together to pack, telling her to think of it as a trip to visit her grandparents in cumbria. 4 hours later she comes down and tells me she's packed. I go up to find the suitcase packed and standing by the door. So I open it and there were no toiletries, no coat, no hat/scarf/gloves, no passport, no money :rotfl::rotfl: So I made her re-sort it, discovered some of the stuff is stained with grease again  Tried to sort it out again and now we've discovered she's a pair of jeans short so its a good job I did more washing today. Weather forecast for the week is cold/wet/snow so it's going to be a lovely week for her ;) I'm now off to try and make sure I have everything out, ready to make lists (so nothing gets left behind) then pack her case to make sure it comes in at under 23kg...

This time tomorrow she'll be at her dads...and I will be sitting down to enjoy the peace and quiet of her not being here after her doing an impression of Tigger on a caffine rush all day

oh dear, where did that week go? I will be popping in and out as I am desperate to get my painting done.

quick roundup, after DD3 diabolical eye test DS had eyes done, and needs a retest with drops as they couldn't get a "stable prescription" but he definitely needs glasses too.....DD2 needs a new prescription aswell, so back to Specs@vers again later in the week.

Both cars I am permitted to use were taken for MOT this week, one failed so badly on rust underneath it was taken round the corner and put in the crusher :eek::eek::eek: just gutted I spent a long time on it giving the flylady treatment before taking it in :(

The other one passed, but I have been told to limit my overall mileage to 6000 per year otherwise it will turn the clock too soon and end up as scrap before its time......I really need to get things straight and own my own car again....so I don't have to put up with these restrictions :mad::mad:

All woodwork in dining room has had 2 coats of undercoat and one of gloss including the internal facings of both 15 pane glass doors :j:j:j just one more gloss coat and touching up to finish, then I can seriously look at laminate :D:D:D and stop eating on the living room floor.

The Skint Pitz is now a lot warmer as the rads in Dining Room and study have had the old leaking pipework dug out and replaced, and nice new rads put on the wall. Dining room floor has been repaired, but not enough concrete mix left to get Study floor flat, and being Easter Sunday yesterday unable to get anymore so EX downed tools and left.........including dust everywhere (the idea of covering puters with dust sheet was alien thinking :eek::eek::eek: apparently :D)

Right-y ho, lets have a proper look at this weeks list and see what DD3 and I can cross off :)

    • Can you fill the washing machine (WM) with things that are all the same colour and switch it on?? • If you are a bigger little person could you wipe over the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer/washing machine.. sometimes you need to check the insides too as they get a bit sticky.. hmmm, might be pushing my luck on this one

Living room hoovered, new sofas disassembled and all cushions hoovered (both sides:eek:) and reassembled, hallway and study floor hoovered. Floordrobe in my room cleared, toys tea party cleared away (ripped tissue everywhere :mad::mad::mad: now all gone, and toys put away) Daisy duty, and DD1 and DD3 alternating on cuddling the little DD4

yep, getting back on track ;)

    Bonnie
    - I'm stuck 1911 unusual name but none coming up in the census!

    try alternative spellings?

Anyway, all washing now ironed, including todays second load which has dried outside.

I have also done some (long overdue) mending so that's a FROG chomped.

Thank you all - my lovely old friend Soappie came to the rescue but that has thrown up another 2 puzzles - good time to sort out my inbox and Bonnie and Iona I'll give you one challenge each! Can you see my tree on Ancestry if I give you my tree name? Trying to work out best way to get subscription again now the bug has bitten!

Flying I've washed the towels and emptied the DW but it is a bank holiday oh and I deep cleaned DS2's room earlier.

    oooh...

    I like bonnie.....

    and I like ionafan....

but which is better?? (ionafan most likely)

    F I G H T ! ! ! :rotfl:

Definitely not going to fight you, bonnie :rotfl: but I'm on a roll with my own family tree today (looking up twigs that are so far off the main branches that it's a wonder that they're still attached) and I need to stop somewhere or I'll have the whole lot of you on my tree as well.

On the other hand, a Flylady Lost Cousins meet would be something good to aim for... :j

I haven't done an awful lot of flying today, but I promise I will whizz through the house tomorrow morning when DH goes out to "meet and greet".

Nicki, you seem to have got on top of things, so enjoy your Tigger-free time :)

Deco, training the cats is a grand idea :rotfl:

Good to know that you're doing OK, MrsGibbs :T

Skint, you are lucky to have willing babysitters :A:A Sorry to hear about the car :( and dusty computer  and DS3 needing another eye test
