Hi all
Have a question for you flyladies/gents
My next door neighbours put their bin bags out yesterday as it was bin day. The seagulls duly broke into the said bags to get at the loot. The rubbish bag was collected but the bin men don't pick up anything that has spilt onto the pavement. There is all sorts covering the pavement and some of it has migrated to the shared pathway I have with next door. There is used sanitary wear _pale_ (thankfully wrapped but obvious what it is _pale_) I have had to have words with these neighbours before for blocking my driveway and have found them very uncooperative:huh:
Do I
1) arm myself in rubber gloves/decontaim kit and clean it up and not say anything to them
2) knock on their door in a vain attempt to get them to clean it up (they won't move their car when blocking my car on the drive so doubtful they'd clean up)
3) this is me being evil  do I clean it up but *cough* accidently *cough* tip it into their front garden. I know this is a very petty and passive aggressive option
I'm not a petty person honestly, and if it wasn't for the sanitary wear it wouldn't bother me as much, but I don't want it to become a habit i.e. their rubbish across pavement/shared path and me having to continually clean it up.
Any thoughts or other suggestions?
TIA

Deco you asked so I'll tell you. I'd pick it up, put it in my bin and be done with it. It is the seagulls who spread it everywhere, nobodies fault, these things happen (tbh and harsh in the time you've been thinking about it you could have done it). I'm not trying to be mean to you just answering the question. I collect up the rubbish in my neighbours garden all the time. They are very pleasant, just have different standards to me. If I'm going to the dump I've been know to take old chair etc from their garden too (asking first of course)The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Thanks Dusty - I know it's no-ones fault (blooming gulls) and you're right - I could have sorted it by now but it's the thought of picking someone else's sanitary wear that has caused me to stop and think not get on and do.
Just decluttering lunch, then will don decontam kit and remove the offending items.

Pretend it is dog poo... bag on GLOVED hand, scoop up pull bag over hand and bin.. Then scrub yourself with a nail brush.. or that is what I did when picking up my neighbours used sanitary towel last week.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I've been busy this morning - not just procrastinating about next doors rubbish
WM on and hung on the line - was most envious of those who'd hung their washing on the line yesterday so was thankful I have blue sky and sunshine here today.
All windows have been opened to get some fresh air in
Bed stripped & duvet airing
Introducing the kitten to the outdoors - she's 8 months old so later than I would have liked her to start going out, cat flap training has commenced but not going well :rotfl:
*dons rubber gloves & preps nappy bags*

Well you're safe in a way - my mother is in Scotland (that's where she pranged the car.)
Next time you go can we not sort a flylady meet to give you a couple of hours in reasonable company?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Afternoon all
So far today I have
1) taken cat to be weighed, he's put on a little bit which is good and seems to be tolerating his anti-inflammatory meds
2) pegged out a load of washing , it's blowing nicely
3) cooked and eaten lunch
just about to reload wm and then wash up
Then we are of out to look at new beds and for a trip to hobby craft (must not spend money, must not spend money!!)Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
FWIW Decko I too would get it picked up myself. Sorry. But I really really wouldn't want 'those' items visible from my house and not worth the hassle if you know they would be difficult. If necessary I litter pick on my road.
And *adopts Pollyanna mode once again* you can be glad she is binning and bagging and not trying to flush it, which could cause major problems drainage wise in the long term.
I am having a :coffee: break, painting the kitchen (coat two; white 'new plaster' paint) again. I have got the radiator roller out and managed to cover all the bits I couldn't reach last week, when I didn't have the rad. roller to hand. It seems to be going more quickly this week. Have two lines full of washing and it's blue skies and bright out, so, although the heating's not on I am not shivering in my decorating outfit - t-shirt, shorts and old Fly-Flots!
Might get it FINISHED this hols. This was supposed to be done LAST Easter so I suppose it's a FROG, really!
